¹⁰ So the chief priests made plans to kill Lazarus as well, ¹¹ for on account of him many of the Jews were leaving them and believing in Jesus.

¹⁹ Then the Pharisees said to one another, “You can see that this is doing you no good. Look how the whole world has gone after Him!”

¹⁶ They said, "What should we do with these men? For it's obvious to everybody living in Jerusalem that an unmistakable sign has been done by them, and we cannot deny it. ¹⁷ But to keep this message from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.”
