²⁸ And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

¹¹ That all of you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that all of you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

¹² Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. ¹³ Then shall the virgin rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. ¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, says the LORD. ¹⁵ Thus says the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. ¹⁶ Thus says the LORD; Refrain your voice from weeping, and your eyes from tears: for your work shall be rewarded, says the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. ¹⁷ And there is hope in your end, says the LORD, that your children shall come again to their own border.

⁴ The diseased have all of you not strengthened, neither have all of you healed that which was sick, neither have all of you bound up that which was broken, neither have all of you brought again that which was driven away, neither have all of you sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have all of you ruled them.

¹⁶ I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.

¹⁰ Take heed that all of you despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven. ¹¹ For the Son of man has come to save that which was lost. ¹² How think all of you? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, does he not leave the ninety and nine, and goes into the mountains, and seeks that which is gone astray? ¹³ And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoices more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.

²² And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.

¹⁹ Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

⁴ What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

⁷ I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repents, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. ⁸ Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, does not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? ⁹ And when she has found it, she calls her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost.

³² It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found.

¹⁰ For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.

²¹ For as the Father raises up the dead, and replenishes life to them; even so the Son gives life to whom he will.

²⁴ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that hears my word, (o. logos) and believes on him that sent me, has everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

²⁵ Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

¹¹ Likewise reckon all of you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹³ Neither yield all of you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

² For the law of the Spirit (o. pneuma) of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

¹⁵ For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

¹⁵ Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

²⁶ And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

¹⁴ For the love (o. agape) of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: ¹⁵ And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

¹ And you has he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;

⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, has quickened us together with Christ, (by grace all of you are saved;)

¹⁴ Wherefore he says, Awake you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light.

¹³ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

⁶ But she that lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.

¹² These are spots in your feasts of love, (o. agape) when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

¹ And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things says he that has the seven Spirits (o. pneuma) of God, and the seven stars; I know your works, that you have a name that you live, and are dead.
