¹ But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was very angry.

⁴ Then said the LORD, Do you well to be angry?

⁹ And God said to Jonah, Do you well to be angry for the gourd? And he said, I do well to be angry, even unto death.

¹⁵ Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is your eye evil, because I am good?

³⁹ Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spoke within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that touches him: for she is a sinner.

²⁸ And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and implored him.
