¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, salutes you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that all of you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

⁴⁸ Be all of you therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

⁴⁴ And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

²⁶ If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

¹⁴ And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that all of you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.

³⁰ Now I plead to you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love (o. agape) of the Spirit, (o. pneuma) that all of you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;

⁶ Nevertheless we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nothing:

²⁰ Brethren, be not children in understanding: nevertheless in malice be all of you children, but in understanding be men.

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love (o. agape) and peace shall be with you.

¹⁰ For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

¹⁹ My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

¹² Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. ¹³ Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, ¹⁴ I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing all of you be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

⁷ As all of you also learned of Epaphras our dear fellow servant, who is for you a faithful minister of Christ;

⁹ For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that all of you might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

²² In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and irreproachable in his sight:

²⁸ Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

¹ For I would that all of you knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh; ² That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in (o. agape) love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. ⁴ And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. ⁵ For though I be absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the (o. pneuma) spirit, rejoicing and beholding your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. ⁶ As all of you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk all of you in him: ⁷ Rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as all of you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. ⁸ Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. ⁹ For in him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. ¹⁰ And all of you are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: ¹¹ In whom also all of you are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: ¹² Buried with him in baptism, wherein also all of you are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who has raised him from the dead. ¹³ And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; ¹⁴ Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; ¹⁵ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. ¹⁶ Let no man therefore judge you in food, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: ¹⁷ Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. ¹⁸ Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, ¹⁹ And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increases with the increase of God. ²⁰ Wherefore if all of you be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are all of you subject to ordinances, ²¹ (Touch not; taste not; handle not; ²² Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? ²³ Which things have indeed a (o. logos) show of wisdom religious outlook, and humility, and neglecting of the body: not in any honour to the satisfying of the flesh.

¹ Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that all of you also have a Master in heaven. ² Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit (o. pneuma) and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

²³ There salute you Epaphras, my fellow-prisoner in Christ Jesus;

⁷ Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared;

¹⁴ But strong food belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

¹⁶ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that all of you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
