⁴ He will call to the heaven above and to the earth, to judge his people.

²⁶ I call heaven and earth this day to witness against you, that you shall surely perish from the land, to which you are going, to cross the Jordan there to take possession of it. You shall not prolong your days therein, but shall be utterly rooted out.

³⁶ From heaven he caused his voice to be heard to instruct thee; and on earth he shewed thee his great fire. And thou hast heard his words out of the midst of the fire.

¹⁹ I call heaven and earth this day to witness against you, that I have set Life and Death, the Blessing and the Curse before you. Chuse thou life, that thou and thy seed may live,

²⁸ Assemble before me the heads of your tribes, and your elders, and your judges, and your under officers, that I may speak in their hearing all these words and call heaven and earth to witness against them.

⁹ that he is come to judge the earth. He will judge the World with righteousness, and the several tribes with equity.

² Hearken, heaven! and hear earth! what the Lord hath spoken. "I have begotten children and brought them up; and they have rebelled against me.

³ by this spirit he will be filled with the fear of God. He will not judge according to opinion, nor will he reprove according to report; ⁴ but he will administer justice to the lowly, and work conviction in the meek of the earth. And he will smite the earth with the word of his mouth, and with a breath from his lips destroy the wicked.
