¹² Whereupon Balaam said to Balak, Did I not tell thy messengers whom thou sentest to me,

¹⁸ In reply to which Balaam said to the princes of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot transgress the word of the Lord God, to do any thing, small or great, of my own mere will.
