¹⁴ The good news of the kingdom shall indeed be proclaimed throughout the whole world for a testimony to all the nations. And then will come the end.

⁵ [8] Now near at hand I pour out mine indignation on thee; and upon thee I will spend my wrath; and judge thee for thy ways, and retribute to thee all thine abominations. ⁶ [9] Mine eye shall not spare, nor will I have compassion. Because I will retribute to thee thy ways, when thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee; therefore thou shalt know that it is I the Lord who smite thee. ⁷ [3] Now the end is upon thee. I will send it against thee, and punish thee for thy ways and retribute to thee all thine abominations.

¹⁰ Behold it is the day of the Lord. If indeed the rod hath budded,

²⁵ And now behold I know that all you among whom I have gone proclaiming the reign of God, shall no more see my face;

¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? What! Is their sound then gone forth to every land; and their doctrines to the limits of the world?

¹⁸ For I will not presume to mention any thing, save what Christ hath wrought by me for the obedience of the Gentiles, both in profession and practice, ¹⁹ by virtue of signs and wonders, by the power of the spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem and the country around even to Illyricum, I have confirmed the glad tidings of the Christ, ²⁰ [yet when thus ambitious to publish the glad tidings] not where Christ was named, that I might not build on another's foundation; ²¹ but as it is written, "They to whom no publication was made concerning him, shall see, and they who have not heard, will attentively consider."

²⁵ Now to him who is able to establish you according to my glad tidings and the proclamation of Jesus Christ; according to the disclosure of a secret which was concealed in times of old, ²⁶ but which is now laid open, and by prophetic writings made known to all the nations, according to an order of the everlasting God, for the obedience of belief

⁶ which is come to you as it hath also to all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as it doth among you, from the day you heard and acknowledged the favour of God in truth,

²³ provided you continue in this belief, grounded and settled, and are not moved away from the hope of the glad tidings which you have heard, which have been proclaimed to this whole creation under heaven, of which I Paul was made a minister.

¹⁰ Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I will keep thee from the hour of trial which is coming soon on the whole world, to try the inhabitants of the earth.

⁶ And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven having everlasting glad tidings to proclaim to the inhabitants of the earth even to every nation and tribe and tongue and people,

¹⁴ For these are spirits of demons making signs which go forth to the kings of the earth and the whole world, to gather them together to the battle of the great day of God the Almighty.
