²³ Thou indeed, Lord, knewest all their designs against me to put me to death. Absolve them not from their wickedness, nor blot out their sins from before thee. Let their weakness be before thee. Deal with them in the time of thy wrath.

²⁹ but whoever shall utter slanders against the Holy Spirit, hath not forgiveness in this age, but is liable to everlasting punishment.

²³ for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

¹⁸ let no one deprive you of the prize; however delighted he may be with an affected humility and the religion of angels, prying into matters which he hath not seen, being vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

²³ These indeed have a show of wisdom in will-worship and humility and self denial. Are they not in some estimation for the gratification of the flesh?

¹⁵ and the kings of the earth and the nobles and the rich and the chief commanders and the under officers and every bondman and every freeman hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, ¹⁶ saying to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall upon us, and hide us from the face of him who is sitting on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, ¹⁷ for the great day of His wrath is come and who is able to stand?"
