¹ Now then the first covenant had the ordinances of divine service and the worldly sanctuary;

⁸ And thou shalt make a sanctuary for me and I will appear among you.

³ you shall not do according to the customs of Egypt, in which you sojourned; nor shall you do according to the customs of the land of Chanaan, to which I am leading you; you shall not walk by their ordinances. ⁴ You shall execute my judgments, and keep my statutes, and walk by them; I the Lord am your God,

³⁰ Therefore you shall keep my ordinances that you may not practise any of these abominable customs, which were practised before you. You shall not pollute yourselves with them; for I the Lord am your God.

⁹ therefore they shall keep my statutes, that they may not, on the account of those things, contract guilt, and die because of them, when they profane them. I am the Lord, the God who halloweth them,

¹² they shall not leave any of it till the morning; nor shall they break a bone of it. They shall keep it according to the ritual of the passover.

¹¹ and let them receive their punishment for all that they have done. Delineate the house and its outlets and its whole figure and make known to them the ordinances thereof and all the rites thereof. And that they may keep my rules of rectitude and all my ordinances and practice them,

⁶ They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking in all the commandments and precepts of the Lord, without blame.

⁸ Be on your guard, that none may make a prey of you by their philosophy and vain deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the elements of the world, and not according to Christ.

² he is a minister of the holies, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man.

⁷ For if the first covenant had been faultless there would have been no occasion for a second

¹³ By calling this a new covenant he hath antiquated the first. Now that which is antiquated, and grown old, is near being abolished.

¹⁰ they being things imposed barely for meats, and drinks, and divers baptisms, and rules of conduct respecting flesh, until the time of reformation: ¹¹ But Christ being come, a chief priest of the future good things, hath entered into the holies by the greater and more perfect tabernacle; not by one made with hands, that is, not of this creation;
