⁹ Because the glory of this house shall be great, the latter greater than the first, saith the Lord Almighty; therefore in this very place I will give peace, saith the Lord Almighty; even peace of mind for a possession to every one active in again raising up this temple.

⁷ Open wide your gates, ye chiefs! and be opened wide, ye everlasting doors; that the glorious king may enter. ⁸ Who is the glorious king? The Lord strong and mighty: the Lord mighty in battle. ⁹ Open wide your gates, ye chiefs; and be opened wide ye everlasting doors; that the glorious king may enter. ¹⁰ Who is this glorious king? The Lord of Hosts. He is the king of glory.

⁸ I will hear what the Lord God will say by me: for he will speak peace to his people; to his saints: even to them who turn their hearts to him; ⁹ moreover his salvation will be near them who fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

⁶ because for us a child is born, and to us a son is given, whose government is on his own shoulder; and his name is called, "The Messenger of Great Counsel." For I will bring peace on the rulers and health for him. ⁷ His government shall be great and to his peace there is no boundary, on the throne of David and over his kingdom, to reestablish it, and support it with judgment and justice, henceforth and forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this.

¹⁸ I have seen his ways and healed him, and comforted him, and given him true consolation; ¹⁹ peace upon peace to them near and to them far off. So the Lord said, I will heal them. ²⁰ But the wicked shall be tossed like waves and shall not be able to rest. "There is no peace, "said God, "to the wicked."

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest [heaven!] And on earth, peace! good will among men!

He it is, who hath made both one, and who hath demolished the partition wall, ¹⁵ having; by his flesh put a stop to the enmity; the law of the commandments [contained] in positive injunctions; that he might frame the two anew, in himself, into one new man, making peace; ¹⁶ and reconcile them both in one body, to God by means of the cross, having by that slain the enmity. ¹⁷ And being come he hath proclaimed the glad tidings of peace to you who were far off, and to them who were near.

¹⁹ Because all the plenitude was pleased to dwell in him, and by him to reconcile all to himself, ²⁰ he having by the blood of his cross"by himself, brought them to be at peace, [whether they be the things on earth or the things in heaven,] ²¹ hath now therefore brought you, who were for a time alienated, and enemies in your minds by wicked works, to a state of reconcilement

¹⁶ [and unquestionably great is the mystery of this religion,] God hath been manifested in flesh, justified by spirit, hath appeared to messengers, been proclaimed among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory.

¹ Do not, my brethren, exercise this belief of our glorious Lord Jesus Christ in partial regards for persons.
