⁴³ Then all the people returned every one to his home, and David returned to bless his household.

¹⁹ and distributed to all the people through the whole host of Israel, from Dan to Bersabee, both to the men and women, to every one a piece of bread, and a piece of roasted meat, and a sweet cake baked in the pan. Then all the people departed, every one to his house, ²⁰ and David returned to salute his household. And Melchol the daughter of Saul came out to meet David, and when she had saluted him, she said, How was the king of Israel glorified to-day in the eyes of his maid servants, disrobed as he was like one of the dancers!

⁶⁶ And on the eighth day he dismissed the people and they blessed the king and went away every man to his house rejoicing and with a glad heart, for all the goodness which the Lord had shewn to his servant David and to his people Israel.

² I will conduct myself wisely in a perfect way; when wilt thou come to me? I have walked in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my household.
