¹⁷ Do not let your heart envy sinners: But be in the fear of the LORD all the day long.

¹ A Psalm of David. Do not fret yourself because of evildoers; neither be envious, comparing against the workers of iniquity. ² For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. ³ Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed.

³ For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. ⁴ For there are no chains in their death: But their strength is firm. ⁵ They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. ⁶ Therefore pride compasses them about as a chain; violence covers them as a garment. ⁷ Their eyes stand out with fatness: They have more than heart could wish.

¹⁰ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: A good understanding have all those who do His commandments: His praise endures forever.

³¹ Do not envy the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.

¹⁶ Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble with it.

¹ Do not be envious against evil men, neither desire to be with them.

¹⁴ Happy is the man that fears always: But he that hardens his heart shall fall into mischief.

⁷ For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also various vanities: But you shall fear God.

¹³ Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: For this is the whole duty of man. ¹⁴ For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

³¹ Then the churches had rest throughout all Judea, Galilee, and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.

¹ Therefore having these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

¹⁷ And if you call on the Father, who without reverence of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:
