¹ And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness. ² And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came on him. ³ And he took up his parable, and said, "Balaam the son of Beor has said, "and the man whose eyes are open has said: ⁴ He has said, "which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: ⁵ How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel! ⁶ As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD has planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters. ⁷ He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted. ⁸ God brought him forth out of Egypt; he has as it were the strength of an unicorn: He shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows. ⁹ He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: Who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesses you, and cursed is he that curses you. ¹⁰ And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: And Balak said to Balaam, "I called you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have altogether blessed them these three times. ¹¹ Therefore now flee you to your place: I thought to promote you to great honor; but, lo, the LORD has kept you back from honor. ¹² And Balaam said to Balak, "Spoke I not also to your messengers which you sent to me, saying, ¹³ if Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of my own mind; but what the LORD said, "that will I speak? ¹⁴ And now, behold, I go to my people: Come therefore, and I will advertise you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days. ¹⁵ And he took up his parable, and said, "Balaam the son of Beor has said, "and the man whose eyes are open has said: ¹⁶ He has said, "which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open: ¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not near: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. ¹⁸ And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly. ¹⁹ Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remains of the city. ²⁰ And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, "Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish forever. ²¹ And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, "Strong is your dwelling place, and you put your nest in a rock. ²² Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry you away captive. ²³ And he took up his parable, and said, "Alas, who shall live when God does this! ²⁴ And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish forever. ²⁵ And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: And Balak also went his way.

¹³ And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said to the princes of Balak, Get you into your land: For the LORD refuses to give me leave to go with you.

³ And Balaam said to Balak, "Stand by your burnt offering, and I will go: Peradventure the LORD will come to meet me: And whatever he shows me I will tell you. And he went to a high place.

¹⁵ And he said to Balak, "Stand here by your burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.

²⁰ Behold, I have received commandment to bless: And he has blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

²³ Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: According to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What has God worked!

²⁸ And Balak brought Balaam to the top of Peor, that looks toward Jeshimon.

¹⁶ Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.

²⁰ And now, behold, I know well that you shall surely be king, and that the kingdom of Israel shall be established in your hand.

² Then Saul arose, and went down to the wilderness of Ziph, having three thousand chosen men of Israel with him, to seek David in the wilderness of Ziph.

²⁵ And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the spirit that was on him, and gave it to the seventy elders: And it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested on them, they prophesied, and did not cease. ²⁶ But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: And the spirit rested on them; and they were of those that were written, but went not out to the tabernacle: And they prophesied in the camp. ²⁷ And there ran a young man, and told Moses, and said, "Eldad and Medad do prophesy in the camp. ²⁸ And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of Moses, one of his young men, answered and said, "My lord Moses, forbid them. ²⁹ And Moses said to him, "Envy you for my sake? Would God that all the LORD's people were prophets, and that the LORD would put his spirit on them!

⁹ For from the top of the rocks I see him, and from the hills I behold him: Lo, the people shall dwell alone, and shall not be reckoned among the nations. ¹⁰ Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!

⁵ How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, and your tabernacles, O Israel!

¹⁰ And when they came up to the hill, behold, a company of prophets met him; and the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them.

²⁰ And Saul sent messengers to take David: And when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied.

¹⁹ Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one, and said, "I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

²⁸ Like the appearance of a rainbow that is in the cloud on a rainy day, so was the appearance of the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of One who spoke.

¹⁷ So he came near where I stood: And when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: But he said to me, "Understand, O son of man: For at the time of the end shall be the vision." ¹⁸ Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: But he touched me, and set me upright.

²⁶ And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: After this, shut up the vision; for it shall be for many days." ²⁷ And I, Daniel, fainted, and was sick for days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astounded at the vision, but none understood it.

¹⁶ The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which He has planted;

³² Then Samuel said, "Bring here to me Agag the king of the Amalekites." And Agag came to him delicately. And Agag said, "Surely the bitterness of death is enacted." ³³ And Samuel said, "As the sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women." And Samuel hewed Agag in pieces before the LORD in Gilgal.

¹² And David perceived that the LORD had established him king over Israel, and that he had exalted his kingdom for his people Israel's sake.

²¹ And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the border of Egypt: They brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

² And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.

²⁰ There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have ruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid to them.

⁶ "Yet I have set My king upon My holy hill of Zion." ⁷ "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son; this day I have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, and I shall give You the heathen for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. ⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.' " ¹⁰ Be wise now therefore, O you kings: Be instructed, you judges of the earth.

⁴³ You have delivered me from the strivings of the people; and You have made me the head of the heathen: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

²⁶ Bless You God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

³ The floods have lifted up, O LORD, the floods have lifted up their voices; the floods lift up their waves. ⁴ The LORD on high is mightier than the thunders of many waters, yes, mightier than the mighty waves of the sea.

¹¹ They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom, and talk of Your power; ¹² to make known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom. ¹³ Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and Your dominion endures throughout all generations.

¹⁶ Let your fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. ¹⁷ Let them be only your own, and not strangers' with you. ¹⁸ Let your fountain be blessed: And rejoice with the wife of your youth.

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

⁷ Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

¹ "Hear this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

¹³ O you who dwell upon many waters, abundant in treasures, your end has come, and the measure of your covetousness.

⁴⁴ And in the days of these kings the God of heaven shall set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: And the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

⁴⁹ Nathanael answered and said to Him, "Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel."

¹⁰ That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth; ¹¹ and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever."

¹² Therefore You shall make them turn their back, when You shall make ready Your arrows upon Your strings against the face of them.

⁵ Your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; by which the people fall under You.

¹³ I reckoned till morning, that, as a lion, so He will break all my bones: From day even to night You will make an end of me.

⁹ For lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: And they shall set themselves in array against her; from there she shall be taken: Their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

¹⁷ Israel is as scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: First the king of Assyria has devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones."

²⁴ And the king commanded, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had mastery of them, and broke all their bones in pieces even before they came to the bottom of the den.

³ And I will bless those that bless you, and curse him that curses you: And in you all families of the earth shall be blessed."

²⁹ Let people serve you, and nations bow down to you: Be lord over your brothers, and let your mother's sons bow down to you: Cursed be everyone that curses you, and blessed be he that blesses you."

⁹ Judah is a lion's whelp: From the prey, my son, you have gone up: He stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?

³⁹ Will you hunt the prey for the lion? Or fill the appetite of the young lions, ⁴⁰ when they couch in their dens, and abide in the covert to lie in wait?

¹⁰ None is so fierce that dare stir him up: Who then is able to stand before me?

¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

⁶ Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "They shall prosper that love you.

⁴⁰ And the King shall answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you have done it to one of the least of these My brethren, you have done it to Me.'

⁴⁵ Then He shall answer them, saying, 'Truly I say to you, Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.'

⁵ And he said, "Who are You, Lord?" And the Lord said, "I am Jesus whom you persecute: It is hard for you to kick against the prods."

⁶ Come now therefore, I implore you, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: Peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the land: For I know that he whom you bless is blessed, and he whom you curse is cursed.

¹¹ behold, there is a people come out of Egypt, which covers the face of the earth: Come now, curse me them; peradventure I shall be able to overcome them, and drive them out.

¹⁷ For I will promote you to very great honor, and I will do whatever you say to me: Come therefore, I implore you, curse me this people.

¹¹ And Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, and behold, you have blessed them altogether.

⁴ Because they met you not with bread and with water in the way, when you came forth out of Egypt; and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor of Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. ⁵ Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam; but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because the LORD your God loved you.

⁹ Then Balak the son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam the son of Beor to curse you: ¹⁰ But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still: So I delivered you out of his hand.

² because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: However, our God turned the curse into a blessing.

²³ Men shall clap their hands at him, and shall hiss him out of his place.

¹⁴ "You therefore, son of man, prophesy, and strike your hands together. And let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the slain: It is the sword of the great men who are slain, which enters into their private chambers.

¹⁷ I will also strike My hands together, and I will cause My fury to rest: I the LORD have said it."

¹³ "Behold, therefore I have smitten My hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you.

³⁷ And Balak said to Balaam, "Did I not earnestly send to you to call you? Why came you not to me? Am I not able indeed to promote you to honor?

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, "Truly I say to you, That in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me shall also sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. ²⁹ And everyone who has forsaken houses, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My name's sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. ³⁰ But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first."

²⁰ But Peter said to him, "Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

⁸ Yes without doubt, and I count all things as loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: For whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as dung, that I may win Christ,

²⁴ By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter; ²⁵ choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; ²⁶ esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: For he had respect for the recompense of the reward.

² Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking on the oversight of it, not by compulsion, but willingly; not for filthy profit, but from a ready mind; ³ neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

⁸ Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that we receive a full reward.

¹⁸ And Balaam answered and said to the servants of Balak, If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the word of the LORD my God, to do less or more.

³⁸ And Balaam said to Balak, "See, I am come to you: Have I now any power at all to say anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak.

²⁸ And Moses said, "Hereby you shall know that the LORD has sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of my own mind.

¹ And Jacob called to his sons, and said, "Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not near: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

⁷ And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males. ⁸ And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of those that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword. ⁹ And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives, and their little ones, and took the spoil of all their domestic beasts, and all their flocks, and all their goods. ¹⁰ And they burnt all their cities in which they dwelled, and all their goodly castles, with fire. ¹¹ And they took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of men and of beasts. ¹² And they brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, to Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by Jordan near Jericho. ¹³ And Moses, and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside the camp. ¹⁴ And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle. ¹⁵ And Moses said to them, "Have you saved all the women alive? ¹⁶ Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD. ¹⁷ Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that has known man by lying with him. ¹⁸ But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

²² And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days they shall be visited.

⁴⁷ Yet I will bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days", said the LORD. Thus far is the judgment of Moab.

³⁹ 'But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam', said the LORD."

²⁸ but there is a God in heaven that reveals secrets, and makes known to the king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. Your dream, and the visions of your head upon your bed, are these;

¹⁴ Now I have come to make you understand what shall befall your people in the latter days, for the vision is yet for many days."

⁵ Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

⁵ O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim to Gilgal; that all of you may know the righteousness of the LORD."

¹⁷ 'And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh: And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

¹ Also know this, that in the last days perilous times shall come.

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: Behold, the devil shall throw some of you into prison, that you may be proven; and you shall have tribulation ten days: Be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

³ And he took up his parable, and said, "Balaam the son of Beor has said, "and the man whose eyes are open has said: ⁴ He has said, "which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:

¹ Moreover Job continued his parable, and said,

³⁵ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, "I will open My mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."

¹ Now these are the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, "and the man who was raised up on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, and the sweet psalmist of Israel, said, ² the Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.

¹ Now concerning things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love edifies.

² And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

²⁵ And Adam knew his wife again; and she bore a son, and called his name Seth: "For God," she said, "has appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew." ²⁶ And there was also a son born to Seth; and he called his name Enos: Then men began to call upon the name of the LORD.

³ And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth: ⁴ And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: And he begat sons and daughters: ⁵ And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: And he died. ⁶ And Seth lived a hundred and five years, and begat Enos: ⁷ And after Seth begat Enos, he lived eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: ⁸ And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years: And he died. ⁹ And Enos lived ninety years, and begat Cainan: ¹⁰ And after Enos begat Cainan, he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begat sons and daughters: ¹¹ And all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years: And he died. ¹² And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: ¹³ And after Cainan begat Mahalaleel, he lived eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: ¹⁴ And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: And he died. ¹⁵ And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years, and begat Jared: ¹⁶ And after Mahalaleel begat Jared, he lived eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters: ¹⁷ And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years: And he died. ¹⁸ And Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years, and he begat Enoch: ¹⁹ And after Jared begat Enoch, he lived eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: ²⁰ And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years: And he died. ²¹ And Enoch lived sixty-five years, and begat Methuselah: ²² And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: ²³ And all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years: ²⁴ And Enoch walked with God: And he was not; for God took him. ²⁵ And Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech. ²⁶ And after Methuselah begat Lamech, he lived seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begat sons and daughters: ²⁷ And all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years: And he died. ²⁸ And Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years, and begat a son: ²⁹ And he called his name Noah, saying, "This one shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the LORD has cursed."

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and the gathering of the people shall be to Him.Shiloh is a by-name for The Messiah

²⁹ Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, O people of Chemosh: He has given his sons that escaped, and his daughters, into captivity to Sihon king of the Amorites.

³⁸ And Saul said, "Draw yourselves near here, all the chief of the people: And know and see in which respect this sin has been this day.

² And he smote Moab, and measured them with a line, casting them down to the ground; even with two lines measured he to put to death, and with one full line to keep alive. And so the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.

⁵ But it came to pass, when Ahab was dead, that the king of Moab rebelled against the king of Israel.

²⁶ And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even to the king of Edom: But they could not. ²⁷ Then he took his oldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: And they departed from him, and returned to their own land.

² And he smote Moab; and the Moabites became David's servants, and brought gifts.

²⁵ For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day on the earth: ²⁶ And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: ²⁷ Whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: The scepter of Your kingdom is a right scepter.

⁸ He shall also have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him; and His enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him: All nations shall serve Him.

⁷⁰ He also chose David His servant, and took him from the sheepfolds: ⁷¹ From following the ewes that were pregnant with young, He brought him to feed Jacob His people, and Israel His inheritance. ⁷² So he fed them according to the integrity of his heart; and guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.

² The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion to: "Rule in the midst of Your enemies."

¹ The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; ² he has gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: On all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off. ³ In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: On the tops of their houses, and in their streets, everyone shall howl, weeping abundantly. ⁴ And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: Their voice shall be heard even to Jahaz: Therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous to him. ⁵ My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee to Zoar, a heifer of three years old: For by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping they shall go up it; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. ⁶ For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: For the hay is withered away, the grass fails, there is no green thing. ⁷ Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, they shall carry away to the brook of the willows. ⁸ For the cry is gone all around the borders of Moab; its howling to Eglaim, and the howling of it to Beerelim. ⁹ For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: For I will bring more on Dimon, lions upon him who escapes from Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.

¹ Send the lamb to the ruler of the land from Sela to the wilderness, to the mount of the daughter of Zion. ² For it shall be, that, as a wandering bird cast out of the nest, so the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon. ³ Take counsel, execute judgment; make your shadow as the night in the middle of the noonday; hide the outcasts; do not expose him who wanders. ⁴ Let my outcasts dwell with you, Moab; you shall be a shelter to them from the face of the spoiler: For the extortionist is at an end, the spoiler ceases, the oppressors are consumed out of the land. ⁵ And in mercy the throne shall be established: And He shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hastening righteousness. ⁶ We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: Even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: But his lies shall not be so. ⁷ Therefore Moab shall howl for Moab, everyone shall howl: For the foundations of Kirhareseth you shall mourn; surely they are stricken. ⁸ For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: The lords of the heathen have broken down its principal plants, they have come even to Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: Her branches are outstretched, they are gone over the sea. ⁹ Therefore I will mourn with the weeping of Jazer the vine of Sibmah: I will water you with my tears, O Heshbon, and Elealeh: For battle shout has fallen over your summer fruits and your harvest. ¹⁰ And gladness is taken away, and joy out of the plentiful field; and in the vineyards there shall be no singing, neither shall there be shouting: The treaders shall tread out no wine in their presses; I have made their vintage shouting to cease. ¹¹ Therefore my heart shall sound like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kirharesh. ¹² And it shall come to pass, when it is seen that Moab is weary on the high place, that he shall come to his sanctuary to pray; but he shall not prevail. ¹³ This is the word that the LORD has spoken concerning Moab since that time. ¹⁴ But now the LORD has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as the years of a hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be despised, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble."

⁴⁵ "They who fled stood under the shadow of Heshbon because of the force: But a fire shall come forth out of Heshbon, and a flame from the middle of Sihon, and shall devour the corner of Moab, and the crown of the head of the tumultuous ones.

⁴ Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

² saying, "Where is He that has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and have come to worship Him." ³ When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. ⁴ And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born. ⁵ And they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea: For thus it is written by the prophet, ⁶ 'And you Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the princes of Judah: For out of you shall come a Governor, that shall rule My people Israel.' " ⁷ Then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. ⁸ And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, "Go and search diligently for the young Child; and when you have found Him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship Him also." ⁹ When they heard the king, they departed; and lo, the star which they saw in the east went before them, until it came and stood over where the young Child was.

³² He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: And the Lord God shall give to Him the throne of His father David: ³³ And He shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of His kingdom there shall be no end."

⁷⁸ through the tender mercy of our God; by which the Dayspring from on high has visited us,

⁸ But to the Son He says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.

¹⁹ We also have a more sure word of prophecy; which you do well that you take heed of, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the day star arise in your hearts:

¹¹ Woe to them! For they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the contrariety of Korah.

¹⁴ And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these people, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed with ungodly living, and of all their fierce speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

⁷ Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and also those which pierced Him: And all tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

¹⁶ "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the Bright and Morning Star."

⁴⁰ and you shall live by your sword, and shall serve your brother; and it shall come to pass when you shall have the dominion, that you shall break his yoke from off your neck."

³ And Jacob sent messengers before him to Esau his brother in the land of Seir, the country of Edom.

¹⁴ And he put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all they of Edom became David's servants. And the LORD preserved David wherever he went.

¹ To the chief Musician upon Shushaneduth, Michtam of David, to teach; when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote twelve thousand from Edom in the valley of salt. O God, You have cast us off, You have scattered us, You have been displeased; O turn Yourself to us again.

⁸ Moab is My washpot; I will cast out My shoe over Edom: Philistia, you triumph because of Me. ⁹ Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me into Edom? ¹⁰ Will not You, O God, which had cast us off? And You, O God, which did not go out with our armies? ¹¹ Give us help from trouble: For vain is the help of man. ¹² Through God we shall do valiantly: For it is He that shall tread down our enemies.

⁵ For My sword shall be bathed in heaven: Behold, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? This one who is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength? "I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save."

¹² That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name", says the LORD that does this.

¹ Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? ² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against His anointed, saying, ³ "Let us break their bands apart, and cast away their cords from us." ⁴ He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: The LORD shall have them in derision. ⁵ Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure. ⁶ "Yet I have set My king upon My holy hill of Zion." ⁷ "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, 'You are My Son; this day I have begotten You. ⁸ Ask of Me, and I shall give You the heathen for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. ⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.' " ¹⁰ Be wise now therefore, O you kings: Be instructed, you judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

⁷ For the king trusts in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved. ⁸ Your hand shall find out all Your enemies: Your right hand shall find out those that hate You. ⁹ You shall make them as a fiery oven in the time of Your anger: The LORD shall swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire shall devour them. ¹⁰ You shall destroy their fruit from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; the Gentiles shall seek it: And His dwelling shall be glorious.

² "But you, Bethlehem Ephratah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you He shall come forth to Me that is to be Ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

⁴ And He shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD His God; and they shall abide: For now He shall be great to the ends of the earth.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: But the righteous into life eternal."

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All power is given to Me in heaven and in earth.

¹² Therefore He said, "A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

²⁷ But bring here those enemies of mine, who were not willing that I reign over them, and slay them before me.' "

²⁵ For He must reign, until He has put all enemies under His feet.

²⁰ which He worked in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: ²² And has put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be the head over all things to the church,

²² Who has gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.

⁸ Then Amalek came, and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

¹⁴ And the LORD said to Moses, "Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: For I will utterly wipe out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven."

¹⁶ For he said, "Because the LORD has sworn that the LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation."

³ And so it was, when Israel had sown, that the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east, even they came up against them;

⁴⁸ And he gathered an army, and smote the Amalekites, and delivered Israel out of the hands of those that spoiled them.

³ Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.' " ⁴ And Saul gathered the people together, and numbered them in Telaim, two hundred thousand footmen, and ten thousand men of Judah. ⁵ And Saul came to a city of Amalek, and laid wait in the valley. ⁶ And Saul said to the Kenites, "Go, depart, get yourselves down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: For you showed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt." So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites. ⁷ And Saul smote the Amalekites from Havilah until you come to Shur, that is bordering Egypt. ⁸ And he took Agag the king of the Amalekites alive, and utterly destroyed all the people with the edge of the sword.

⁸ And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: For those nations were the inhabitants of the land from ancient times, as you go to Shur, even to the land of Egypt. ⁹ And David smote the land, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the donkeys, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish.

¹ And it came to pass when David and his men had come to Ziklag, that on the third day the Amalekites invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;

¹⁷ And David smote them from the twilight even until the evening of the next day: And not a man of them escaped there, except four hundred young men, which rode upon camels, and fled.

⁴³ And they smote the rest of the Amalekites that were escaped, and dwelled there to this day.

¹ After these things king Ahasuerus promoted Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.

⁹ And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, "Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, stands in the house of Haman." Then the king said, "Hang him on it."50 Hebrew cubits (of the scriptures) is approximately 91.2 feet, or 27.8m; per Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary and Easton's Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Appendix VI. ¹⁰ So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king's wrath was pacified.

¹⁴ And the king commanded it to be so done: And the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

¹⁹ The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

¹⁶ And the children of the Kenite, Moses' father-in-law, went up out of the city of palm trees with the children of Judah into the wilderness of Judah, which lies in the south of Arad; and they went and dwelled among the people.

⁸ assyria has also joined with them: They have helped the children of Lot. Selah.

³ Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: Neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, 'You are our gods': For in You the fatherless finds mercy."

¹ Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him the LORD had given deliverance to Syria: He was also a mighty man in valor, but he was a leper.

² "But who may abide the day of His coming? And who shall stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

⁴ And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

²¹ To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. ²² The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. ²³ And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. ²⁴ And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. ²⁵ And to Eber were born two sons: The name of one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

²⁰ And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, "Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish forever.

¹ The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: It is revealed to them from the land of Chittim.

³⁵ Then the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, were broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, that no place was found for them: And the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

⁴⁵ In as much as you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it broke in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God has made known to the king what shall come to pass in time to come: And the dream is certain, and the interpretation of it sure."

¹⁹ Then I willed to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; ²⁰ and of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows.

²³ Thus he said, 'The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. ²⁴ And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: And another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. ²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. ²⁶ But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end.

⁵ And as I was considering, behold, a he-goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and did not touch the ground: And the he-goat had a notable horn between his eyes. ⁶ And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran to him in the fury of his power. ⁷ And I saw him come close to the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and broke his two horns: And there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: And there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand. ⁸ Therefore the he-goat waxed very great: And when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and in its place came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

²¹ And the rough goat is the king of Greece: And the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

²⁶ And after sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself: And the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end of it shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined. ²⁷ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: And in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that which is determined shall be poured upon the desolate."

²⁰ Then he said, "Do you know why I come to you? And now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia: And when I have gone forth, lo, the prince of Greece shall come.

³⁰ For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: Therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: So he shall do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsakes the holy covenant.

⁴⁵ And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him."

¹⁵ Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation', spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place", (whoever reads, let him understand):

²⁴ Show Me a silver coin. Whose image and inscription does it have?" They answered and said, "Caesar's."

²⁹ For behold, the days are coming in which they shall say, 'Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bore, and the nipples which never nourished from the breast.' ³⁰ Then they shall begin to say to the mountains, "Fall on us"; and to the hills, "Cover us." ' ³¹ For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry?"

⁴⁸ If we let Him alone after that, all men will believe upon Him: And the Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation."

² And he cried out mightily with a strong voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the prison-hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. ³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are made rich through the abundance of her delicacies." ⁴ And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, "Come out of her, my people, that you are not partakers of her sins, and that you do not receive of her plagues. ⁵ For her sins have reached to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. ⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double to her two-fold more according to her works: With the cup which she has filled, pour out to her double. ⁷ To the degree she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, give her that much torment and sorrow: For she says in her heart, 'I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.' ⁸ Therefore her plagues shall come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: For strong is the Lord God Who judges her. ⁹ "And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they see the smoke of her burning, ¹⁰ standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! For in one hour your judgment has come.' ¹¹ And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buys their merchandise anymore: ¹² The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all fragrant wood, and all sorts of ivory vessels, and all sorts of most precious wood vessels, and of brass, and iron, and marble, ¹³ and cinnamon, and incense, and fragrant ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. ¹⁴ And the fruits that your soul lusted after have departed from you, and all things which were dainty and gorgeous have departed from you, and you shall find them no more at all. ¹⁵ The merchants of these things, who were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing, ¹⁶ and saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls! ¹⁷ For in one hour so many riches have come to naught.' And every shipmaster, and all the company in ships, and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off, ¹⁸ and cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, 'What city is like this great city!' ¹⁹ And they cast dust on their heads, and cried out, weeping and wailing, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea were made rich because of her costliness! For in one hour she is made desolate. ²⁰ Rejoice over her, you heaven, and you holy apostles and prophets; for God has avenged you on her." ²¹ And a mighty angel took up a stone like a large millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. ²² And the voice of harpists, musicians, pipers, and trumpeters shall not be heard any more at all in you; and no craftsman, of whatever craft he is, shall be found anymore in you; and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard any more at all in you; ²³ and the light of a candle shall not shine any more at all in you; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall not be heard any more at all in you: For your merchants were the great men of the earth; for by your sorceries all nations were deceived. ²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth."

¹¹ Therefore now flee you to your place: I thought to promote you to great honor; but, lo, the LORD has kept you back from honor.

⁸ And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of those that were slain; namely, Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

²² Balaam also the son of Beor, the soothsayer, did the children of Israel slay with the sword among those that were slain by them.
