⁴⁹ and begins to smite his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;

¹³ And the priests' custom with the people was that when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was boiling, with a fleshhook of three prongs in his hand; ¹⁴ and he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites that came there. ¹⁵ Also before they burned the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, "Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have boiled flesh from you, but raw." ¹⁶ And if any man said to him, "Let them not fail to burn the fat at this time, and then take as much as your soul desires"; then he would answer him, "No; but you shall give it to me now: And if not, I will take it by force."

²⁹ Why do you kick at My sacrifice and at My offering, which I have commanded in My habitation; and honor your sons above Me, to make yourselves fat with the most eminent of all the offerings of Israel My people?'

¹² "Come all of you", they say, "I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be like today, and much more abundant."

⁵ Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word; Your brothers who hated you, that cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the LORD be glorified': But He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

³ You eat the fat, and you clothe yourselves with the wool, you kill those who are fed: But you do not feed the flock.

⁵ Thus says the LORD concerning the prophets that make My people err, that bite with their teeth, and cry, "Peace"; and he that does not put into their mouths, they even prepare war against him.

¹⁵ Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.

¹⁸ For those that are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

²⁰ For you bear it, if a man brings you into bondage, if a man devours you, if a man takes from you, if a man exalts himself, if a man strikes you on the face.

¹⁹ Whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

¹¹ Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not to, for the sake of filthy profit. ¹² One of them, even a prophet of their own, said, "The Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, slow bellies."

³ neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock.

¹³ and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as those who count it pleasure to riot in the daytime. They are spots and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you; ¹⁴ having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: They have a heart exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:

⁹ I wrote to the church: But Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, does not receive us. ¹⁰ Therefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he does, prating against us with malicious words: And not content with that, neither does he himself receive the brethren, and forbids those that would receive them, and drives them out of the church.

¹² These are spots in your feasts of love, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: They are clouds without water, carried about by winds; trees whose fruit withers, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;

⁷ And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: And power was given to him over all tribes, and tongues, and nations.

⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy of such."

⁶ And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: And when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.
