⁶ And I brought your fathers out of Egypt: And you came to the sea; and the Egyptians pursued after your fathers with chariots and horsemen to the Red sea.

³⁷ And the children of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand on foot that were men, beside children.

⁵¹ And it came to pass the same day, that the LORD brought the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armies.

¹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, ² "Speak to the children of Israel, that they turn and encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baalzephon: You shall encamp before it by the sea. ³ For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, 'They are entangled in the land, the wilderness has shut them in.' ⁴ And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, that he shall follow after them; and I will be honored upon Pharaoh, and upon all his army; that the Egyptians may know that I am the LORD." And they did so. ⁵ And the king of Egypt was told that the people fled: And the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, "Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?" ⁶ And he made his chariot ready, and took his people with him: ⁷ And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over every one of them. ⁸ And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the children of Israel: And the children of Israel went out with a high hand. ⁹ But the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon. ¹⁰ And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were severely afraid: And the children of Israel cried out to the LORD. ¹¹ And they said to Moses, "Have you taken us away to die in the wilderness because there were no graves in Egypt? Why have you dealt in this peculiar way with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? ¹² Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, 'Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians?' For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness." ¹³ And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will show to you today: For the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you shall not see them again anymore forever. ¹⁴ The LORD shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace." ¹⁵ And the LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel, that they go forward:

¹¹ And you did divide the sea before them, so that they went through the middle of the sea on the dry land; and their persecutors you threw into the deeps, as a stone into the mighty waters.

¹⁵ You have redeemed Your people with Your arm, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah. ¹⁶ The waters saw You, O God, the waters saw You; they were afraid: The depths also were troubled. ¹⁷ The clouds poured out water: The skies sent out a sound: Your arrows also went abroad. ¹⁸ The voice of Your thunder was in the heaven: The lightning lightened the world: The earth trembled and shook. ¹⁹ Your way is in the sea, and Your path in the great waters, and Your footsteps are not known. ²⁰ You led Your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.

¹³ He divided the sea, and caused them to pass through; and He made the waters to stand as a heap.

¹³ To Him Which divided the Red Sea into parts: For His mercy endures forever: ¹⁴ And made Israel to pass through the midst of it: For His mercy endures forever: ¹⁵ But overthrew Pharaoh and his army in the Red Sea: For His mercy endures forever.

¹² That led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name? ¹³ That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?"

⁴ For I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of servants; and I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam before you.

³⁶ He brought them out, after he had shown wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness forty years.

²⁹ By faith they passed through the Red Sea as by dry land: Which the Egyptians attempting to do were drowned.
