¹ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: ² And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; ³ and shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: And he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: ⁴ But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: And he shall smite the earth: With the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. ⁵ And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins. ⁶ The wolf shall also dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatted calf together; and a little child shall lead them. ⁷ And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. ⁸ And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. ⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain: For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. ¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; the Gentiles shall seek it: And His dwelling shall be glorious. ¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. ¹² And He shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ The envy of Ephraim shall also depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. ¹⁴ But they shall fly on the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil those of the east together: They shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. ¹⁵ And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with His mighty wind He shall shake His hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over with dry sandals. ¹⁶ And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria; as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁷ And the women, her neighbors, gave him a name, saying, "There is a son born to Naomi"; and they called his name Obed: He is the father of Jesse, the father of David.

⁵⁸ And Saul said to him, "Whose son are you, young man?" And David answered, "I am the son of your servant Jesse the Bethlehemite."

² In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and suitable for those that have escaped of Israel.

⁷ Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; the Gentiles shall seek it: And His dwelling shall be glorious.

² For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: He has no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see Him, there is no beauty that we should desire Him.

⁵ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

¹⁵ In those days, and at that time, I will cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.

⁸ Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you, and your fellows that sit before you: For they are men wondered at: For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant the BRANCH.

¹² and speak to him, saying, 'Thus speaks the LORD of hosts, saying, "Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and He shall grow up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of the LORD:

²³ (as it is written in the law of the Lord, "Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord"); ²⁴ and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, "A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons." ²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and this same man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel: And the Holy Spirit was upon him. ²⁶ And it was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ. ²⁷ And he came by the Spirit into the temple: And when the parents brought in the Child Jesus, to do for Him after the custom of the law, ²⁸ then he took Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ "Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word: ³⁰ For my eyes have seen Your salvation, ³¹ which You have prepared before the face of all people; ³² a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel."

²² And when He had removed him, He raised up for them David to be their king; to whom also He gave testimony, and said, 'I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who shall fulfill all My will.' ²³ From this man's seed, God has, according to His promise, raised up to Israel a Savior, Jesus:

¹² And again, Isaiah said, "There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust."

⁵ Then one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep: Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book, and to loose its seven seals."

¹⁶ "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the Bright and Morning Star."

²⁵ And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spoke to him, and took of the spirit that was on him, and gave it to the seventy elders: And it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested on them, they prophesied, and did not cease. ²⁶ But there remained two of the men in the camp, the name of the one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad: And the spirit rested on them; and they were of those that were written, but went not out to the tabernacle: And they prophesied in the camp.

⁹ And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands on him: And the children of Israel listened to him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.

¹ Behold My servant, whom I uphold; My elect, in whom My soul delights; I have put My spirit on Him: He shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

¹⁶ Come near to me, hear this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there I am: And now the Lord GOD, and His Spirit, has sent me.

²¹ "As for Me, this is My covenant with them", said the LORD; "My spirit that is on you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart out of your mouth, nor out of the mouth of your seed, nor out of the mouth of your seed's seed", said the LORD, "from now on and forever."

¹ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the meek; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;

¹⁶ And when Jesus was baptized, He immediately went up out of the water: And lo, the heavens were opened to Him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon Him:

³² And John bore record, saying, "I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon Him. ³³ And I did not know Him: But He that sent me to baptize with water, the same said to me, 'Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, the same is He which baptizes with the Holy Spirit.'

³⁴ For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God: For God does not give the Spirit by limited measure to Him.

¹⁷ even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him, nor know Him: But you know Him; for He dwells with you, and shall be in you.

²⁶ But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceeds from the Father, He shall testify of Me:

¹³ Moreover when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth: For He shall not speak of Himself; but whatever He shall hear, that shall He speak: And He will show you things to come.

³⁸ how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with Him.

³⁰ But by reason of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who of God is made to us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him: ¹⁸ The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

⁸ who also declared to us your love in the Spirit. ⁹ For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

² that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and among all riches from the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgment of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; ³ in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

⁷ For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

¹⁷ But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. ¹⁸ And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those that make peace.

⁷ But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not look on his countenance, nor on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart."

¹⁷ Then your handmaid said, "The word of my lord the king shall now be comfortable: For as an angel of God, so is my lord the king to discern good and bad: Therefore the LORD your God will be with you.

⁹ Give therefore your servant an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and bad: For who is able to judge this your so great a people?

²⁸ And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: For they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.

¹¹ Does not the ear try words? And the mouth taste his meat?

³ For the ear examines words, as the mouth tastes food.mouth: In Hebrew, palate

⁵ then you shall understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

⁹ Then you shall understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yes, every good path.

⁶ And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of your times, and strength of salvation: The fear of the LORD is His treasure.

⁵² And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.

²⁵ and did not need from man that any should testify: For He knew what was in man.

²⁴ Do not judge according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

¹⁵ You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. ¹⁶ And yet if I judge, My judgment is true: For I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent Me.

¹³ Which things we also speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. ¹⁴ But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: For they are foolishness to him: Neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. ¹⁵ But he that is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no man.

³ But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by a man's judgment: Nevertheless I do not judge my own self. ⁴ For I know nothing by myself; yet I am not justified by this: But He that judges me is the Lord. ⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: And then every man shall have praise from God.

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; ¹⁰ that you may approve things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense until the day of Christ;

¹⁴ But solid food belongs to those that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

¹⁵ And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice to all his people.

² the Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue. ³ The God of Israel said, "the Rock of Israel spoke to me, He that rules over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God. ⁴ And he shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, even a morning without clouds; as the tender grass springing out of the earth by clear shining after rain.

⁸ Happy are your men, happy are these your servants, which stand continually before you, and that hear your wisdom. ⁹ Blessed be the LORD your God, which delighted in you, to set you on the throne of Israel: Because the LORD loved Israel forever, therefore made he you king, to do judgment and justice.

⁹ By the blast of God they perish, and by the breath of his nostrils are they consumed.

⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.' "

⁸ There went up a smoke out of His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it.

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: The scepter of Your kingdom is a right scepter. ⁷ You love righteousness, and hate wickedness: Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You with the oil of gladness above Your fellows.

¹ A Psalm for Solomon. Give the king Your judgments, O God, and Your righteousness to the king's son. ² He shall judge Your people with righteousness, and Your poor with judgment. ³ The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness. ⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

¹² For He shall deliver the needy when he cries; the poor also, and him that has no helper. ¹³ He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy. ¹⁴ He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: And their blood shall be precious in his sight.

² How long will you judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah. ³ Defend the poor and fatherless: Do justice to the afflicted and needy. ⁴ Deliver the poor and needy: Deliver them out of the hand of the wicked.

² The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion to: "Rule in the midst of Your enemies."

⁸ Open your mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. ⁹ Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.

¹⁷ learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.

¹⁴ The LORD will enter into judgment with the ancients of His people, and with their princes: "For you have eaten up the vineyard; the spoil of the poor is in your houses.

⁵ And in mercy the throne shall be established: And He shall sit on it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hastening righteousness.

¹⁹ The meek shall also increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

³³ For Tophet is ordained of old; yes, it is prepared for the king; He has made it deep and large: Its pile is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.Tophet; or, Hell

¹ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.

²⁸ They are waxen fat, they shine: Yes, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: They do not judge the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy they do not judge.

⁵ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. ⁶ In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: And this is His name by which he shall be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

³ Seek the LORD, all you meek of the earth, which have worked His judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: It may be you all shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.

⁶ And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse."

⁵ Blessed are the meek: For they shall inherit the earth.

⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

¹ Then Saul, ever breathing out threatening and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

¹ Now I, Paul, myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am lowly among you, but being absent am bold toward you:

²³ meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law.

⁸ And then that Wicked one shall be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the Spirit of His mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of His coming:

² to speak evil of no man, not to be brawlers, but gentle, showing all meekness to all men.

¹³ Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? Let him show out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

¹⁶ And He had in His right hand seven stars: And out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword: And His countenance was as the sun shining in His strength.

¹⁶ Repent; or else I will come to you quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of My mouth.

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

¹⁵ And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations: And He shall rule them with a rod of iron: And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

¹ The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, with which He has girded Himself: The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

¹ O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name; for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

¹⁷ For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation on His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloak.

²⁰ I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness: And you shall know the LORD.

⁷ by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded around with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

¹⁷ Therefore, in all things it behoved him to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

¹ Therefore, as Christ has suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: For he that has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

⁹ If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

¹³ and in the midst of the seven candlesticks One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet, and girded about the chest with a golden band.

¹⁴ "And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; 'These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of God;

²⁵ The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bull: And dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain", said the LORD.

²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: And they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

¹⁸ And in that day I will make a covenant for them with the wild beasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: And I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

¹³ Then Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem: ¹⁴ And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on Your name." ¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, "Go your way: For he is a chosen vessel to Me, to bear My name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel: ¹⁶ For I will show him what great things he must suffer for My name's sake." ¹⁷ And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, "Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me, that you might receive your sight, and be filled with the Holy Spirit." ¹⁸ And immediately there fell from his eyes as if it had been scales: And he received sight immediately; and arose, and was baptized. ¹⁹ And when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul was with the disciples which were at Damascus for some days. ²⁰ And immediately he preached Christ in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.

¹⁷ For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, ¹⁰ nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. ¹¹ And such were some of you: But you are washed, but you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constrains us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then all were dead: ¹⁵ And that He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to Him which died for them, and rose again. ¹⁶ Therefore from now on, we regard no man according to the flesh: Yes, though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet from now on we know Him no longer. ¹⁷ Therefore, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature: Old things are passed away; behold, all things have become new. ¹⁸ Now all things are from God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation; ¹⁹ Know that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them; and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. ²⁰ Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God implored you through us: We make request of you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. ²¹ For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

²⁶ For you are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. ²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

²² That you put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; ²³ and be renewed in the spirit of your mind; ²⁴ and that you put on the new man, which after the manner of God is created in righteousness and true holiness. ²⁵ Therefore, putting away lying, "every man speak truth with his neighbor": For we are members of one another. ²⁶ "Be angry, and do not sin": Do not let the sun go down upon your wrath: ²⁷ Neither give place to the devil. ²⁸ Let him that stole steal no more: But rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needs. ²⁹ Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good for the use of edifying, that it may minister grace to the hearers. ³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by which you are sealed until the day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice: ³² And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you.

³ For you are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. ⁴ When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then you shall also appear with Him in glory. ⁵ Therefore mortify your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: ⁶ For which things' sake the wrath of God comes upon the children of disobedience: ⁷ Things in which you also sometimes walked, when you lived in them. ⁸ But now you also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, and filthy communication out of your mouth.

³ For we ourselves were also sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving diverse lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. ⁴ But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, ⁵ not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Spirit;

⁹ yet for love's sake I rather beseech you, being such a one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. ¹⁰ I beseech you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my chains: ¹¹ Who in time past was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me: ¹² Whom I have sent again: You therefore receive him, that is, my own bowels: ¹³ Whom I would have retained with me, that in your place he might have ministered to me in the bonds of the gospel: ¹⁴ But without your agreement I would do nothing; that your good acts should not be out of necessity, but willingly. ¹⁵ For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that you should receive him forever; ¹⁶ not now as a servant, but above a servant, a beloved brother, especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth."

³ They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; the adder's poison is under their lips. Selah.

⁵ They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: He who eats of their eggs dies, and that which is crushed breaks out into a viper.

²³ For you shall be in league with the stones of the field: And the wild beasts of the field shall be at peace with you.

²⁷ All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: And all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before You. ²⁸ For the kingdom is the LORD's: And He is the governor among the nations. ²⁹ All those that are fat upon earth shall eat and worship: All those that go down to the dust shall bow before Him: And none can keep alive his own soul. ³⁰ A seed shall serve Him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. ³¹ They shall come, and shall declare His righteousness to a people that shall be born, that He has done this.

¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious name forever: And let the whole earth be filled with His glory; Amen, and Amen.

² The LORD has made known His salvation: He has openly shown His righteousness in the sight of the heathen. ³ He has remembered His mercy and His truth toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

⁴ And He shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: And they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

¹³ The envy of Ephraim shall also depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

²⁶ Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of His people, and heals the stroke of their wound.

⁹ No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up on it, they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:

⁶ That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is none other.

⁶ And He said, 'It is a light thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give You for a light to the Gentiles, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.' "

¹⁰ The LORD has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

¹⁹ So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen on you. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: But the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising. ⁴ Lift up your eyes all around, and see: They all gather themselves together, they come to you: Your sons shall come from afar, and your daughters shall be nursed at your side. ⁵ Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come to you. ⁶ The multitude of camels shall cover you, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all those from Sheba shall come: They shall bring gold and incense; and they shall show forth the praises of the LORD. ⁷ All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together to you, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister to you: They shall come up on My altar with acceptance, and I will glorify the house of My glory. ⁸ Who are these that fly like a cloud, and as the doves to their windows? ⁹ Surely the isles shall wait for Me, and the ships of Tarshish will come first, to bring your sons from afar, their silver and their gold with them, to the name of the LORD your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because He has glorified you. ¹⁰ "And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: For in My wrath I smote you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you. ¹¹ Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring to you the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. ¹² For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly ruined. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious. ¹⁴ Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel. ¹⁵ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations. ¹⁶ You shall also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shall suck the breast of kings: And you shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. ¹⁷ For brass I will bring gold, and for iron I will bring silver, and for wood, brass, and for stones, iron: I will also appoint peace as your officers, and righteousness as your exactors. ¹⁸ Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise. ¹⁹ The sun shall no longer be your light by day; neither shall the moon give light to you for brightness: But the LORD shall be to you an everlasting light, and your God your glory. ²⁰ Your sun shall no more go down; neither shall your moon withdraw itself: For the LORD shall be your everlasting light, and the days of your mourning shall be ended. ²¹ Your people shall all be righteous also: They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified. ²² A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in its time."

² And many nations shall come, and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For the law shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. ³ And He shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks: Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. ⁴ But they shall sit, every man, under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: For the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.

¹⁴ For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

⁹ And the LORD shall be King over all the earth: In that day there shall be one LORD, and His name one.

⁴⁴ But I say to you, Love your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you, and pray for those who despitefully use you, and persecute you; ⁴⁵ that you may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: For He makes His sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

⁴¹ Then those that gladly received his word were baptized: And the same day there were about three thousand souls added to them. ⁴² And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. ⁴³ Moreover fear came upon every soul: And many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. ⁴⁴ Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common; ⁴⁵ and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them to all men, as every man had need. ⁴⁶ And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, ate their food with gladness and singleness of heart, ⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those such as should be saved.

²⁹ And now Lord, behold their threats: And grant to Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word, ³⁰ by stretching forth Your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of Your holy Child Jesus." ³¹ And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness. ³² Moreover the multitude of those that believed were of one heart and of one soul: Neither did any of them say that the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things in common. ³³ And with great power the apostles gave witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: And great grace was upon them all. ³⁴ Neither was there any among them who lacked: For as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, ³⁵ and laid them down at the apostles' feet: And distribution was made to every man accordingly as he had need.

²⁵ For I do not intend, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

¹⁷ Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honestly in the sight of all men. ¹⁸ If it is possible, as much as rests with you, live peaceably with all men. ¹⁹ Dearly beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath: For it is written, "Vengeance is Mine; I will repay", says the Lord. ²⁰ Therefore "If your enemy hungers, feed him; if he thirsts, give him a drink: For in so doing you shall heap coals of fire upon his head." ²¹ Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, ²³ meekness, temperance: Against such there is no law. ²⁴ And those that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

¹⁴ Do all things without murmuring and disputing: ¹⁵ That you may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom you shine as lights in the world;

¹⁵ See that no one renders evil for evil to any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years are fulfilled: And after that he must be loosed for a little season. ⁴ And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them: And I saw the souls of those that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. ⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: Upon such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

²⁷ And there shall in no case enter into it anything that defiles, neither anything that works abomination, or makes a lie: But those which are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

¹⁰ The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and the gathering of the people shall be to Him.Shiloh is a by-name for The Messiah

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

⁴ He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust: His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

⁷ Return to your rest, O my soul; for the LORD has dealt bountifully with you.

⁵ Let the saints be joyful in glory: Let them sing aloud upon their beds.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹ And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

³ And it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give you rest from your sorrow, and from your fear, and from the hard bondage in which you were made to serve,

¹² To whom He said, "This is the rest with which you may cause the weary to rest"; and "this is the refreshing": Yet they would not hear.

¹⁷ And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever. ¹⁸ And My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places;

²² Thus says the Lord GOD, "Behold, I will lift up My hand to the Gentiles, and set up My standard to the people: And they shall bring your sons in their arms, and your daughters shall be carried on their shoulders.

³ And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

⁵ Then you shall see, and flow together, and your heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted to you, the forces of the Gentiles shall come to you.

¹⁰ "Rejoice all of you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her: Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her: ¹¹ That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory." ¹² For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: Then you shall suck, you shall be borne on her sides, and be dandled on her knees.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles.

¹⁶ Thus says the LORD, "All of you stand in the roads, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk in it, and you shall find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.'

⁹ 'The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former', says the LORD of hosts: 'And in this place I will give peace', says the LORD of hosts."

¹ Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the east came to Jerusalem, ² saying, "Where is He that has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the east, and have come to worship Him."

¹¹ And I say to you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

²⁸ Come to Me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. ²⁹ Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: And you shall find rest for your souls. ³⁰ For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light."

²¹ And in His name shall the Gentiles trust."

³² a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel."

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up: ¹⁵ That whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.

²⁰ Now there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: ²¹ The same then came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and implored him, saying, "Sir, we would like to see Jesus."

³² And I, if I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Me."

¹⁸ When they heard these things, they held their peace; and glorified God, saying, "Then God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life."

¹⁷ delivering you from the people, and from the Gentiles, to whom I now send you, ¹⁸ to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith that is in Me.'

²⁸ "Therefore let it be known to you, that the salvation of God is sent to the Gentiles, and that they will hear it."

⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy; as it is written, "For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, and sing to Your name." ¹⁰ And again he said, "Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people." ¹¹ And again, "Praise the LORD, all you Gentiles; and laud Him, all you people." ¹² And again, Isaiah said, "There shall be a root of Jesse, and He that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in Him shall the Gentiles trust."

⁷ and to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that do not know God, and that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹ Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; ¹⁰ when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all those that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. ¹¹ Therefore we also pray always for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power: ¹² That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.

¹ Therefore let us fear, lest, a promise being left to us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.

⁹ There remains then a rest for the people of God. ¹⁰ For he that has entered into His rest has himself also ceased from his own works, as God did from His. ¹¹ Therefore let us labor to enter into that rest, lest any man fall following the same example of unbelief. ¹² For the Word of God is lively, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing apart of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. ¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in His sight: But all things are naked and uncovered to the eyes of Him with Whom we have to give account. ¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great High Priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. ¹⁵ For we do not have a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

⁷ That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes, though it be tried with fire, might be found to praise and honor and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: ⁸ Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with unspeakable joy and full of glory: ⁹ Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.

¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

⁵ By these the isles of the Gentiles were divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. ⁶ And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. ⁷ And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtechah: And the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan.

¹⁰ And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

²² The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram.

² And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelled there.

¹ And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations;

⁴⁰ If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary to me; ⁴¹ and that I also have walked contrary to them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: ⁴² Then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and also My covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.

²⁷ And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and you shall be left few in number among the heathen, where the LORD shall lead you. ²⁸ And there you shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell. ²⁹ But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come on you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient to his voice; ³¹ (For the LORD your God is a merciful God); he will not forsake you, neither destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which he swore to them.

³ that then the LORD your God will turn your captivity, and have compassion on you, and will return and gather you from all the nations, where the LORD your God has scattered you. ⁴ If any of your be driven out to the outmost parts of heaven, from there will the LORD your God gather you, and from there will he fetch you: ⁵ And the LORD your God will bring you into the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it; and he will do you good, and multiply you above your fathers. ⁶ And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

²² The Lord said, "I will bring back from Bashan, I will rescue My people again from the depths of the sea:

⁹ Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus?

²⁰ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and such as have escaped of the house of Jacob, shall lean no more again on him that smote them; but shall lean on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

¹⁶ And there shall be a highway for the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria; as it was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

²³ In that day there shall be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. ²⁴ In that day Israel shall be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

¹⁵ Why do you glorify the LORD in the fires, even the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea.

¹² And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat thresh from the channel of the river to the stream of Egypt, and you shall be gathered one by one, O you children of Israel. ¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

⁴ He shall not fail nor be discouraged, until He has set judgment in the earth: And the isles shall wait for His law.

¹⁰ Sing to the LORD a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth, you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it; the isles, and their inhabitants.

¹² Let them give glory to the LORD, and declare His praise in the islands.

¹⁴ Thus says the LORD, "The labor of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you, and they shall be yours: They shall come after you; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down to you, they shall make supplication to you, saying, 'Surely God is in you; and there is none else, there is no other God.' "

⁷ Therefore, behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that they shall no more say, 'The LORD lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt'; ⁸ but, 'The LORD lives, who brought up and who led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries where I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.'

²⁵ and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes,

⁸ For it shall come to pass in that day', said the LORD of hosts, 'that I will break his yoke from off your neck, and will burst your bonds, and strangers shall no more enservant them: ⁹ But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up to them. ¹⁰ Therefore fear not, O My servant Jacob', said the LORD; 'neither be dismayed, O Israel: For lo, I will save you from afar, and your seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. ¹¹ For I am with you', said the LORD, 'to save you: Though I make a full end of all nations where I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you: But I will correct you in measure, and will not leave you altogether unpunished.'

¹⁰ Hear the word of the LORD, O you nations, and declare it in the isles afar off, and say, 'He that scattered Israel will gather him, and keep him, as a shepherd does his flock.'

³⁶ "If those ordinances depart from before Me", said the LORD, "then the seed of Israel shall also cease from being a nation before Me forever." ³⁷ Thus says the LORD; "If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done", said the LORD. ³⁸ "Behold, the days come", said the LORD, "that the city shall be built to the LORD from the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner. ³⁹ And the measuring line shall yet go forth in front of it on the hill Gareb, and shall compass about to Goath. ⁴⁰ And the whole valley of the dead bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields to the brook of Kidron, to the corner of the horse gate toward the east, shall be holy to the LORD; it shall not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more forever."

²⁴ 'Consider not what this people has spoken, saying, "The two families which the LORD has chosen, has he cast even them off?" Thus they have despised My people, that they should no more be a nation before them.' ²⁵ Thus says the LORD; 'If My covenant is not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; ²⁶ then I will cast away the seed of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: For I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.' "

¹ The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who dwell in the land of Egypt, which dwell at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Noph, and in the country of Pathros, saying,

²³ Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: For they have heard evil tidings: They are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

¹⁶ Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them like a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come." ' ¹⁷ Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel." ' ¹⁸ And they shall come there, and they shall take away all the detestable things of it and all its abominations from there. ¹⁹ And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh: ²⁰ That they may walk in My statutes, and keep My ordinances, and do them: And they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

⁶ Of the oaks of Bashan have they made your oars; the company of the Ashurites have made your benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim.

¹⁴ And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.

²³ And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even My servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. ²⁴ And I the LORD will be their God, and My servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it. ²⁵ And I will make a covenant of peace with them, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: And they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. ²⁶ And I will make them and the places around My hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. ²⁷ And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those who served themselves of them. ²⁸ And they shall no longer be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the wild beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.

²⁴ For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. ²⁵ Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean: I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols. ²⁶ I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you: And I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put My spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you shall keep My judgments, and do them. ²⁸ And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and you shall be My people, and I will be your God.

¹ The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones, ² and caused me to pass by them roundabout: And behold, there were very many in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry. ³ And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, you know." ⁴ Again He said to me, "Prophesy upon these bones, and say to them, 'O all you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. ⁵ Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones; "Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: ⁶ And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD." ' " ⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded: And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. ⁸ And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them above: But there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." ' " ¹⁰ So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceeding great army. ¹¹ Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: We are cut off for our parts. ¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³ And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves, ¹⁴ and shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: Then you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it", said the LORD.' " ¹⁵ The word of the LORD came to me again, saying, ¹⁶ moreover, you son of man, take for yourself one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for his companions the children of Israel: Then take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions: ¹⁷ And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand. ¹⁸ And when the children of your people shall speak to you, saying, 'Will you not show us what you mean by these?' ¹⁹ Say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in My hand." ' ²⁰ And the sticks on which you write shall be in your hand before their eyes. ²¹ And say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, where they have gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: ²² And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: And they shall no longer be two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. ²³ Neither shall they defile themselves with their idols any more, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: But I will save them out of all their dwelling places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: So shall they be My people, and I will be their God. ²⁴ And David My servant shall be king over them; and they shall all have one shepherd: They shall also walk in My judgments, and observe My statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, in which your fathers have dwelled; and they shall dwell in it, even they and their children, and their children's children forever: And My servant David shall be their prince forever. ²⁶ Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: And I will place them, and multiply them, and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore. ²⁷ My tabernacle also shall be with them: Yes, I will be their God, and they shall be My people. ²⁸ And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary shall be in the midst of them forevermore." ' "

² And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I looked, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river Ulai.

¹⁸ After this he shall turn his face to the isles, and shall take many: But a prince on his own behalf shall cause the reproach offered by him to cease; without his own reproach he shall cause it to turn upon him.

¹¹ Then the children of Judah and the children of Israel shall be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: For great shall be the day of Jezreel."

⁴ For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without a standing image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: ⁵ Afterward the children of Israel shall return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and His goodness in the latter days.

¹¹ They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: And I will place them in their houses", says the LORD.

¹ For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem, ² I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for My people and for My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided My land. ³ And they have cast lots for My people; and have given a boy for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. ⁴ Yes, and what have you to do with Me, O Tyre, and Zidon, and all the borders of Palestine? Will you render Me a recompense? And if you recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense upon your own head; ⁵ because you have taken My silver and My gold, and have carried My goodly pleasant things into your temples: ⁶ You have also sold the children of Judah and the children of Jerusalem to the Grecians, that you might remove them far from their border. ⁷ Behold, I will raise them out of the place where you have sold them, and will return your recompense upon your own head: ⁸ And I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hand of the children of Judah, and they shall sell them to the Sabeans, to a people far off: For the LORD has spoken it. ⁹ Proclaim this among the Gentiles; "Prepare war", wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near; let them come up: ¹⁰ Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into spears: Let the weak say, "I am strong." ¹¹ Assemble yourselves, and come, all you heathen, and gather yourselves together all around: Cause Your mighty ones to come down to that place, O LORD. ¹² Let the heathen be awakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: For there I will sit to judge all the heathen compassed around. ¹³ Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: Come, get down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great. ¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision. ¹⁵ The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining. ¹⁶ The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: But the LORD will be the hope of His people, and the strength of the children of Israel. ¹⁷ "So shall you know that I am the LORD your God dwelling in Zion, My holy mountain: Then Jerusalem shall be holy, and no strangers shall pass through her any more. ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah shall flow with waters, and a fountain shall come forth out of the house of the LORD, and shall water the valley of Shittim. ¹⁹ Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land. ²⁰ But Judah shall dwell forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. ²¹ For I will cleanse their blood which I have not cleansed: For the LORD dwells in Zion."

¹⁴ And I will bring home again the captivity of My people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink its wine; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. ¹⁵ And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no longer be pulled up out of their land which I have given them", says the LORD your God.

¹² Also in that day he shall even come to you from Assyria, and from the fortified cities, and from the fortress even to the river, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

¹⁴ Feed your people with your rod, the flock of your heritage, which dwell solitarily in the woods, in the middle of Carmel: Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old. ¹⁵ "According to the days of your coming out of the land of Egypt, I will show him marvelous things."

¹¹ The LORD will be terrible to them: For He will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship Him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.

¹¹ And he said to me, "To build it a house in the land of Shinar: And it shall be established, and set there upon her own base."Shinar was a plain in Southern Babylonia; per Easton's Illustrated Bible Dictionary

² And Hamath shall also border by it; Tyrus, and Zidon, though it is very wise.

⁸ I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: And they shall increase as they have formerly increased. ⁹ And I will sow them among the people: And they shall remember Me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and return again. ¹⁰ I will also bring them back again out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and not enough room shall be found for them. ¹¹ And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away. ¹² And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in His name", says the LORD.

¹ The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, says the LORD, which stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him. ² "Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the people compassed around, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. ³ And in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: All that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. ⁴ In that day", says the LORD, "I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: And I will open My eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. ⁵ And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.' ⁶ In that day I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people compassed around, on the right hand and on the left: And Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. ⁷ The LORD also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. ⁸ In that day the LORD shall defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that time shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. ⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. ¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: And they shall look upon Me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for Him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for Him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. ¹¹ In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. ¹² And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; ¹³ the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; ¹⁴ all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart."

¹⁵ For if the casting away of them is the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

¹⁶ Nevertheless, when their heart shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away.

²⁶ I said, "I would scatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:

² The LORD builds up Jerusalem: He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

³ All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, you shall see, when he lifts up an ensign upon the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, you shall hear.

¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

⁶ I will say to the north, 'Give them up'; and to the south, 'Do not keep them back': Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth;

¹¹ And I will make all My mountains a way, and My highways shall be exalted. ¹² Behold, these shall come from afar: And lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim."

⁸ The Lord GOD, who gathers the outcasts of Israel said, "Yet will I gather others to him, besides those who are gathered to him."

¹⁰ Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

¹⁰ From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia My humble petitioners, even the daughter of My dispersed, shall bring My offering.

⁶ And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again to place and settle them; for I have mercy upon them: And they shall be as though I had not cast them off: For I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

³⁵ Then the Jews said among themselves, "Where will He go, that we shall not find Him? Will He go to the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles?

¹ James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;

¹ And it came to pass in the days of Ahaz the son of Jotham, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, that Rezin the king of Syria, and Pekah the son of Remaliah, king of Israel, went up toward Jerusalem to war against it, but could not prevail against it. ² And it was told to the house of David, saying, "Syria is allied with Ephraim." And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind. ³ Then the LORD said to Isaiah, "Go forth now to meet Ahaz, you, and Shearjashub your son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool on the highway of the Fuller's field; ⁴ and say to him, 'Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah. ⁵ Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against you', saying, ⁶ 'Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach in it for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:'"

²¹ Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: And they together shall be against Judah. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is outstretched still.

¹⁸ In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance to your fathers.

¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not near: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

¹⁴ But now the LORD has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as the years of a hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be despised, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble."

¹⁰ For the hand of the LORD shall rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

¹ Woe to you who plunder, and you were not plundered; and deal treacherously, and they did not deal treacherously with you! When you cease to plunder, you shall be plundered; and when you make an end of dealing treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with you.

⁵ For My sword shall be bathed in heaven: Behold, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of My curse, for judgment. ⁶ The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, and with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams: For the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

¹⁴ Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. ²⁰ And they shall bring all your brothers out of all nations on horses for an offering to the LORD, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on swift beasts, to My holy mountain Jerusalem", said the LORD, "as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

²⁸ Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite", thus says the LORD; "Arise, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.

¹ And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, ² "Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, ³ and say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, I am against you, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: ⁴ And I will turn you back, and put hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you forth, and all your army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armor, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: ⁵ Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: ⁶ Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: And many people with you. ⁷ Be prepared, and prepare for yourself, you, and all your company that are assembled to you, and be a guard to them. ⁸ After many days you shall be visited: In the latter years you shall come into the land that is brought back from the sword, and is gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Israel, which have always been waste: But it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely, all of them. ⁹ You shall ascend and come like a storm, you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you, and all your bands, and many people with you." ¹⁰ Thus says the Lord GOD; "It shall also come to pass, that at the same time things shall come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought: ¹¹ And you shall say, 'I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to those that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, ¹² to take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn your hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten domestic beasts and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.' ¹³ Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions of it, shall say to you, Have you come to take a spoil? Have you gathered your company to take a prey? To carry away silver and gold, to take away domestic beasts and goods, to take a great spoil?' " ' ¹⁴ Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "In that day when My people of Israel dwell safely, shall you not know it? ¹⁵ And you shall come from your place out of the north parts, you, and many people with you, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: ¹⁶ And you shall come up against My people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring you back against My land, that the heathen may know Me, when I shall be sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes." ¹⁷ Thus says the Lord GOD; "Are you he of whom I have spoken in old times by My servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days that many years from then I would bring you back against them? ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel", said the Lord GOD, "that My fury shall come up in My face. ¹⁹ For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken, 'Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; ²⁰ so that the fish of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the wild beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.' ²¹ And I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains", says the Lord GOD: "Every man's sword shall be against his brother. ²² And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. ²³ Thus I will magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

⁴¹ He shall also enter into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: But these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

¹⁹ Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, because they have shed innocent blood in their land.

¹² That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by My name", says the LORD that does this.

¹⁸ And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle inside them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau"; for the LORD has spoken it. ¹⁹ And those of the south shall possess the mount of Esau; as shall also those of the plain of the Philistines: And they shall possess the fields of Ephraim, and the fields of Samaria: And Benjamin shall possess Gilead.

⁵ Woe to the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! The word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, "I will even destroy you, that there shall be no inhabitants left."

⁵ Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also shall see it, and be very sorrowful, and Ekron; for her expectation shall be ashamed; and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited. ⁶ "And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines. ⁷ And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth: But he that remains, even he, shall be for our God, and he shall be as a governor in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

¹⁹ And the LORD spoke to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.' " ²⁰ And Moses and Aaron did so, as the LORD commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and smote the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. ²¹ And the fish that were in the river died; and the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.

²¹ And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.

¹³ You did divide the sea by Your strength: You break the heads of the dragons in the waters. ¹⁴ You break the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gave him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. ¹⁵ You divided the fountain and the flood: You dried up mighty rivers.

²⁰ On the same day the Lord shall shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: And it shall also consume the beard.

⁵ And the waters from the sea shall fail, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. ⁶ And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defense shall be emptied and dried up: The reeds and flags shall wither. ⁷ The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and everything sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more. ⁸ The fishers shall also mourn, and all those who cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and those that spread nets on the waters shall languish. ⁹ Moreover those who work in fine flax, and those who weave networks, shall be confounded. ¹⁰ And they shall be broken in its purposes, all who make flood-gates and ponds for fish.

¹⁶ In that day Egypt shall be like women: And it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shakes over it.

² Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to answer? Is My hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: Their fish stinks, because there is no water, and die for thirst.

⁹ Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the ancient days, in the generations of old. Was it not You who cut Rahab, and wounded the dragon? ¹⁰ Are You not the One who has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; who has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

¹⁰ Behold, therefore I am against you, and against your rivers, and I will make the land of Egypt utterly waste and desolate, from the tower of Syene even to the border of Ethiopia.

¹² And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: And I will make the land waste, and all that is in it, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken it."

¹¹ And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: And the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the scepter of Egypt shall depart away.

¹² And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water of it was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared.

²⁶ And the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen." ²⁷ And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. ²⁸ And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the army of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there did not remain so much as one of them. ²⁹ But the children of Israel walked upon dry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand, and on their left.

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set His hand again the second time to recover the remnant of His people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

²³ In that day there shall be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

⁸ And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it. ⁹ No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up on it, they shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there: ¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

³ The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, "All of you prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ⁴ Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: And the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places smooth:

¹⁵ I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers become islands, and I will dry up the pools. ¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness become light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them.

²⁰ Go forth from Babylon, flee from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing you shall declare, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; all of you say, "The LORD has redeemed His servant Jacob." ²¹ And they did not thirst when He led them through the deserts: He caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: He split the rock also, and the waters gushed out.

¹² Behold, these shall come from afar: And lo, these from the north and from the west; and these from the land of Sinim."

¹⁰ Are You not the One who has dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; who has made the depths of the sea a way for the ransomed to pass over?

¹⁴ and shall say, "Cast up all of you, cast up all of you, prepare the way, take the stumbling-block up out of the way of My people."

¹² That led them by the right hand of Moses with His glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make Himself an everlasting name? ¹³ That led them through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness, that they should not stumble?"
