⁶ No man shall take the nether or the upper millstone to pledge: For he takes a man's life to pledge.

³⁰ Now therefore when I come to your servant my father, and the lad is not with us; seeing that his life is bound up in the lad's life;

²⁶ If you take any of your neighbor's clothing to pledge, you shall deliver it to him by that time the sun goes down: ²⁷ For that is his only covering, it is his clothing for his skin: In what shall he sleep? And it shall come to pass, when he cries to Me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

¹⁹ When you shall besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, you shall not destroy its trees by forcing an ax against them: For you may eat of them, and you shall not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:

¹⁵ And He said to them, "Take heed, and beware of covetousness: For a man's life does not subsist in the abundance of the things which he possesses."

²² And the voice of harpists, musicians, pipers, and trumpeters shall not be heard any more at all in you; and no craftsman, of whatever craft he is, shall be found anymore in you; and the sound of a millstone shall not be heard any more at all in you;
