²² And you shall remember that you were a bondman in the land of Egypt: Therefore I command you to do this thing.

¹⁴ But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God: In it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your domestic beasts, nor your stranger that is within your gates; that your manservant and your maidservant may rest as well as you. ¹⁵ And remember that you were a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the LORD your God brought you out there through a mighty hand and by an outstretched arm: Therefore the LORD your God commanded you to keep the Sabbath day.

⁸ But because the LORD loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn to your fathers, has the LORD brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you out of the house of servants, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

¹⁸ But you shall remember that you were a bondman in Egypt, and the LORD your God redeemed you there: Therefore I command you to do this thing.

¹ Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you that seek the LORD: Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

⁸ I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the confidence of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love. ⁹ For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that through His poverty you might be rich.

¹ You therefore be followers of God, as dear children; ² and walk in love, as Christ also has loved us, and has given Himself for us as an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savor.

¹⁰ In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. ¹¹ Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought to also love one another.
