¹⁰ Now when Daniel knew the writing document was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did before.

³⁰ And listen you to the supplication of your servant, and of your people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: And hear you in heaven your dwelling place: And when you hear, forgive.

³⁸ what prayer and supplication soever be made by any man, or by all your people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands toward this house:

⁴⁴ If your people go out to battle against their enemy, wherever you shall send them, and shall pray to the LORD toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house that I have built for your name:

⁴⁸ and so return to you with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, which led them away captive, and pray to you toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name: ⁴⁹ Then hear you their prayer and their supplication in heaven your dwelling place, and maintain their cause, ⁵⁰ and forgive your people that have sinned against you, and all their transgressions in which they have transgressed against you, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

⁵⁴ And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven.

¹³ For Solomon had made a brazen scaffold of five cubits long, and five cubits wide, and three cubits high, and had set it in the middle of the court: And on it he stood, and kneeled down on his knees before all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven.

³⁸ if they return to you with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which you gave to their fathers, and toward the city which you have chosen, and toward the house which I have built for your name:

⁵ And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands to the LORD my God,

¹¹ And I said, "Should such a man as I flee? And who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in.

⁷ But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy: And in Your fear I will worship toward Your holy temple.

⁴ Then I said, 'I am cast out of Your sight; yet I will look again toward Your holy temple.'

²⁸ And do not fear those which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: But rather fear Him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. ²⁹ Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. ³⁰ But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. ³¹ Fear not therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. ³² Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father which is in heaven. ³³ But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father which is in heaven.

⁴ And I say to you My friends, do not be afraid of those that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. ⁵ But I will forewarn you whom you shall fear: Fear Him, which after He has killed has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, Fear Him. ⁶ Are not five sparrows sold for two bronze coins, and not one of them is forgotten before God?two bronze coins: In KJV, two farthings ⁷ But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. ⁸ Also I say to you, Whoever shall confess Me before men, him the Son of Man shall also confess before the angels of God: ⁹ But he that denies Me before men shall be denied before the angels of God.

²⁶ "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his father, mother, wife, children, brethren, and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

⁴¹ And He was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down, and prayed,

¹ And when the Day of Pentecost fully came, they were all with one accord in one place. ² And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

¹⁵ For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day.

¹ Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.

¹⁷ But so that it spreads no further among the people, let us strictly threaten them, that from this time forward they do not speak to any man in this name." ¹⁸ Therefore they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. ¹⁹ But Peter and John answered and said to them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge.

²⁹ And now Lord, behold their threats: And grant to Your servants, that with all boldness they may speak Your word,

²⁰ "Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this Life."

²⁹ But Peter and the other apostles answered and said, "We ought to obey God rather than men.

⁴⁰ And they agreed with him: And when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. ⁴¹ Therefore they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for His name. ⁴² And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease to teach and preach Jesus Christ.

⁶⁰ Moreover he knelt down, and cried out with a loud voice, "Lord, do not lay this sin upon their debt." And when he had said this, he died.

⁴⁰ But Peter put them all out, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning himself toward the body said, "Tabitha, arise." And she opened her eyes: And when she saw Peter, she sat up.

⁹ On the next day, as they went on their journey, and drew near to the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

²⁴ But none of these things move me, neither do I count my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

³⁶ And when he had spoken these things, he knelt down, and prayed with them all.

⁵ And when we had finished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, until we were out of the city: And we knelt down on the shore, and prayed.

¹⁴ For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

¹⁴ and many of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

²⁰ according to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing shall I be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.

⁶ Do not be full of care for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

¹⁷ And whatever you all do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.you all: In KJV, ye; hence "you all" signifies a plural "you"

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing. ¹⁸ In everything give thanks: For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁵ Therefore by Him let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

¹⁰ Fear none of those things which you shall suffer: Behold, the devil shall throw some of you into prison, that you may be proven; and you shall have tribulation ten days: Be faithful to death, and I will give you a crown of life.

¹³ "I know your works, and where you dwell, even where Satan's seat is: And you hold firmly My name, and have not denied My faith, even in those days in which Antipas was My faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwells.
