²⁴ For false Christs and false prophets shall be raised up, and shall show great signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

¹⁵ But beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but within they are rapacious wolves.

⁵ for many shall come in my name, saying, I am the Christ, and shall deceive many.

¹¹ and many false prophets shall be raised up and deceive many,

²² For false prophets shall arise, and perform miracles and wonders, to deceive, if possible, the elect.

³⁷ Every thing which the Father gives to me shall come to me, and him that comes to me I will by no means cast out;

³⁹ And this is the will of him that sent me; that I should lose nothing of all that he has given me, but should raise it up at the last day.

²⁸ and I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish nor shall any one pluck them out of my hand. ²⁹ My Father who gave [them] to me is greater than all, and no one can pluck them out of my Father's hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

¹⁶ For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, that it might not be necessary for him to spend a long time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be at Jerusalem at the day of Pentecost.

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to [his] purpose. ²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he may be a first-born among many brothers; ³⁰ and whom he predestinated them he also called; and whom he called them he also justified; and whom he justified them he also glorified. ^{31 (6:5)} What shall we say then to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? ³² He who spared not his Son, but gave him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things? ³³ Who will bring a charge against God's elect? It is God that justifies; ³⁴ who is he that condemns? Is it Christ who died, and still more, who has also been raised, and who is on the right hand of God, and who makes intercession for us? ³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall affliction or distress, persecution or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day; we are accounted as sheep for slaughter. ³⁷ But in all these things we more than conquer, through him who loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor any other creation, shall be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁸ if possible, as much as may be in your power, live peaceably with all men,

¹⁵ What then was your blessedness? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have dug out your eyes and have given them to me.

⁹ whose coming is according to the power of Satan, with all power and miracles and false prodigies ¹⁰ and with every unrighteous deceit among those who are destroyed, because they received not the love of the truth that they might be saved. ¹¹ And therefore, God sends them a power of delusion that they should believe a lie,

¹⁹ But the foundation of God stands firm, having this seal, The Lord knows them that are his; and, Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from wickedness.

⁵ who are kept by the power of God through faith to salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

^{1 (1:4)} But there were also false prophets among the people, as there shall also be false teachers among you, who shall bring in by stealth destructive heresies, even denying the master that bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction; ² and many shall follow their lewdness, on account of whom the way of truth shall be reviled, ³ and with covetousness they will make a gain of you with feigned words, whose judgment a long time lingers not, and their destruction slumbers not.

¹⁷ Do you therefore, beloved, knowing [these things] before, be on your guard not to be carried away with the error of the wicked and fall from your steadfastness,

^{18 (2:9)} We know that every one who has been born of God does not sin, but he that has been born of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

⁹ And the great dragon, the old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, and who deceives all the world, was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast [to the earth] with him. ¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, Now has come the salvation and power and kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of the brothers, that accused them day and night before God, has been cast [to the earth]. ¹¹ And they conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and exposed their lives to death.

⁷ And it was given him to make war with the saints and to conquer them, and power was given him over every tribe and people and tongue and nation. ⁸ And all who dwell on the earth shall worship him, [every one] whose name is not enrolled in the Lamb's book of life who was killed from the foundation of the world.

¹³ And he performs great miracles, so as even to make fire come down from heaven to the earth in the sight of men. ¹⁴ And he deceives those that dwell on the earth by the miracles which it was given him to perform before the beast, telling those that dwell on the earth to make an image of the beast which had the wound with the sword and lived.

²⁰ And the beast was taken and with him the false prophet who performed miracles before him, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worship his image; and the two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulphur.
