¹⁶ But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.

²³ And turning around to his disciples he said privately, Blessed are the eyes which see what you see! ²⁴ For I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which you see, and have not seen them, and to hear the things which you hear, and have not heard them.

²⁹ Jesus said to him, Because you have seen me you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and believed.

¹⁸ to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among the sanctified by faith in me.

⁶ For God who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him; ¹⁸ the eyes of your minds being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his call, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
