¹⁴ Now, the name of the man of Israel that was smitten, who was smitten with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, son of Salu,––prince of an ancestral house of the Simeonites;

¹⁵ So I took heads for your tribes, wise men and known, and placed them as heads over you,––captains of thousands, and captains of hundreds, and captains of fifties, and captains of tens, and overseers for your tribes.

¹⁴ and ten princes with him, one prince of an ancestral house for each of the tribes of Israel,––they being, severally heads of their ancestral houses, among the thousands of Israel.
