⁶⁷ Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists. Some slapped him,

³⁹ But I tell you not to resist a wicked man, but if any one strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him also the other;

³⁰ They spit on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head.

³⁴ and they will make sport of him and spit on him and scourge him and kill him. But after three days he will rise."

⁶⁵ Then some began to spit on him and to blindfold him and to strike him with their fists and say, "Prophesy," and the attendants slapped him as they took him in charge.

¹⁹ They kept striking him on the head with a reed and spitting on him, and bending their knees they did homage to him.
