¹¹ For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men,

¹⁹ Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

¹⁵ And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

⁶ And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

⁴⁷ And that repentance for forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

⁹ The true Light, which enlightens every man, was coming into the world.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father,) full of grace and truth.

¹⁶ And of his fulness we have all received, and grace upon grace. ¹⁷ For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²³ When he came, and had seen the grace of God, he was glad, and exhorted them all, that with resolute hearts they would cling to the Lord;

⁴³ Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout converts followed Paul and Barnabas: who spoke to them, urging them to continue in the grace of God.

⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us, saying, I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the ends of the earth.

²⁴ But I do not count my life as precious to myself, so that I might finish my course, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

⁴ Now to the one who works, his reward is not counted as a gift, but as his due. ⁵ But to the one who does not work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is counted as righteousness.

² By whom we also have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

¹⁵ But the free gift is not like the offence. For if through the offence of the one many died, how much more did the grace of God, and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to many.

²⁰ The law entered, that offences might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more: ²¹ So that as sin has reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? Yes truly, for: Their voice went into all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world.

⁵ Even so, at this present time, there is a remnant, chosen by grace. ⁶ And if by grace, then it is no longer by works: otherwise grace is no longer grace.

⁹ And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will praise you among the Gentiles, and sing to your name. ¹⁰ And again he says, Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again, Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; and praise him, all you people. ¹² And again, Isaiah says, The root of Jesse shall come, and he shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles hope. ¹³ Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Spirit. ¹⁴ And I myself am also convinced about you, my brethren, that you are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able also to admonish one another. ¹⁵ Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as a reminder, because of the grace given to me by God, ¹⁶ That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit. ¹⁷ Therefore, through Jesus Christ I have reason to glory in my work for God. ¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any work except what Christ has done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, ¹⁹ Through the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

¹ We then, as workers together with him, urge you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

²¹ I do not nullify the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ died in vain.

⁶ To the praise of his glorious grace, which he freely bestowed upon us in the beloved. ⁷ In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

⁵ Even when we were dead in transgressions, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;)

⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

⁶ That is, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and sharers together of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel: ⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power. ⁸ To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

⁶ Which has come to you. In all the world it brings forth fruit and grows, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and understood the grace of God in truth:

²³ If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

¹⁶ Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who has loved us, and has given us eternal comfort and good hope through grace,

¹⁴ And the grace of our Lord overflowed for me, along with the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

⁴ Who desires all men to be saved, and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared, ⁵ He saved us, not because of works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing by the Holy Spirit;

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made for a little while lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death; that he, by the grace of God, should taste death for every man.

¹⁵ See to it that no man fails to obtain the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up should trouble you, and thereby defile many;

¹⁰ Of this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that should come to you enquired and searched diligently: ¹¹ Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look.

⁵ Likewise, you who are younger, submit yourselves to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another: for God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. ⁶ Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: ⁷ Casting all your anxiety upon him; for he cares for you. ⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walks about, seeking someone he may devour. ⁹ Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are required of your brethren who are throughout the world. ¹⁰ But the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. ¹¹ To him be dominion for ever and ever. Amen. ¹² Through Silvanus, a faithful brother, as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God; stand fast in it.
