Romans 8:12 Cross References - RKJNT

12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.

Romans 6:2-15

2 By no means. How shall we, who are dead to sin, live in it any longer? 3 Do you not know, that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore, we were buried with him by baptism into death: so that as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been united with him by sharing a death like his, so shall we also share a resurrection like his: 6 Knowing this, that our old man has been crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should no longer be enslaved by sin. 7 For he who has died is freed from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will never die again: death no longer has power over him. 10 For in his death, he died to sin once for all: but in his life, he lives to God. 11 In the same way, consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore, do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies, to make you obey its lusts. 13 Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness: but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. 14 For sin shall not be your master: for you are not under the law, but under grace. 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? By no means.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God, and that you are not your own? 20 For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

1 Peter 4:2-3

2 That he may live the rest of his time in the flesh no longer for the lusts of men, but for the will of God. 3 For the time past was sufficient for doing the things the Gentiles desire to do: living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, revelling, carousing, and abominable idolatries.
