⁵¹ And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

¹⁹ So after the Lord had spoken to them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, Do not hold me; for I have not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

⁹ And when he had spoken these things, while they watched, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

⁸ Therefore it says, When he ascended on high, he led a host of captives, and gave gifts to men. ⁹ (In saying that he ascended, what does that mean but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is the same one who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

³ He is the brightness of his glory, and the exact representation of his nature, upholding all things by the word of his power. When he had purged our sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;
