²⁰ And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

¹ When the morning had come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: ² And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pilate, the governor.

²⁰ But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask for Barabbas, and have Jesus executed.

¹ And immediately in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying,

¹³ And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let him go. ¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you; ¹⁵ And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead. Of this we are witnesses.

⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, You rulers of the people, and elders, ⁹ If we are to be examined this day about a good deed done to a cripple, by what means he was made well; ¹⁰ Then let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand here before you well.

²⁷ For truly in this city, against your holy servant Jesus, whom you have anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together, ²⁸ To do whatever your hand and your counsel predestined to be done.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed by hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God has exalted him with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the words of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, have fulfilled these by condemning him. ²⁸ And though they found no cause for death in him, yet they asked Pilate that he be slain. ²⁹ And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.
