¹⁰ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord; I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people:

³² I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

²⁵ As he says also in Hosea, I will call them my people, who were not my people; and call her beloved, who was not beloved. ²⁶ And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said to them, You are not my people; there they shall be called the sons of the living God.

²⁷ For this is my covenant with them, when I shall take away their sins.

¹⁶ Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? for the two, he says, shall become one flesh.

³ And you show that you are letters of Christ delivered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

⁷ For if the ministry of death, written and engraved in stone, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance; and that glory fading: ⁸ Shall not the ministry of the spirit be even more glorious?

¹⁴ Who gave himself up for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people of his own, zealous for good works.

¹⁶ This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them; ¹⁷ Then he adds, Their sins and iniquities I will remember no more.

¹⁶ Instead, they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he has prepared for them a city.

¹⁸ By his own will he brought us forth with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.

²¹ Therefore, lay aside all filthiness and the wickedness that is so abundant, and receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

²³ You have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, by the word of God, which lives and abides forever.

⁹ But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God; that you should declare the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.
