²⁰ And having brought them to the magistrates, they said, These men, being Jews, are troubling our city exceedingly,

³ When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.

¹⁸ If the world hates you, know that it hated me before it hated you. ¹⁹ If you were of the world, the world would love its own: but because you are not of the world, because I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. ²⁰ Remember the word that I said to you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep yours also.

⁶ And when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and certain brethren to the rulers of the city, crying out, These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also; ⁷ And Jason has welcomed them: and they do all that is contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, Jesus. ⁸ And the people and the rulers of the city were troubled when they heard these things.

² And found a certain Jew named Aquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came to see them.

³⁴ But when they recognized that he was a Jew, they all cried out with one voice for about two hours, Great is Diana of the Ephesians.
