¹⁴ For we do not stretch beyond our limit, as though we had not reached to you: for we were the first to come as far as to you with the gospel of Christ:

¹ The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

²⁴ But I do not count my life as precious to myself, so that I might finish my course, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

¹⁶ On that day God shall judge the secrets of men through Jesus Christ, as my gospel proclaims.

¹⁸ For I will not dare to speak of any work except what Christ has done through me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, ¹⁹ Through the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

²⁵ Now to him who is able to establish you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret for long ages past,

¹⁰ But God has revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.

⁵ Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom you believed, as the Lord assigned to each his task? ⁶ I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the growth.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God which is given to me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds upon it. But let every man take heed how he builds upon it.

¹⁵ For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel.

¹ Am I not an apostle? am I not free? have I not seen Jesus Christ our Lord? are you not my work in the Lord? ² If I am not an apostle to others, yet doubtless I am to you: for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

¹² Now, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, a door was opened for me by the Lord,

¹ Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? or do we need, as some others, letters of recommendation to you, or letters of recommendation from you? ² You are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by all men: ³ And you show that you are letters of Christ delivered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not on tablets of stone, but on tablets of human hearts.

⁴ For the god of this world has blinded the minds of those who do not believe, lest they should see the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God.

⁶ I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you by the grace of Christ, for another gospel: ⁷ Which is not truly another; but there are some who trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. ⁸ But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be eternally accursed.

⁵ Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you have already heard in the word of truth, the gospel;

¹¹ According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
