Matthew 15:22-28

22 And, lo! a woman of Canaan came out from those borders, and cried out, saying, Have compassion on me, Lord, Son of David! My daughter is grievously afflicted with a demon. 23 But he did not answer her a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying Send her away, for she is crying out after us. 24 But he answered and said, I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then she came and fell down before him, saying, Lord, help me! 26 But he answering said, It is not allowable to take the childrens bread, and throw it to the little dogs. 27 And she said, Yea, Lord; for the little dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from the table of their masters. 28 Then Jesus answering said to her, O woman, great is thy faith; be it done to thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was cured from that hour.

Luke 18:1-8

1 And he spoke a parable to them to show that they ought to pray always, and not be fainthearted: 2 saying, There was in a certain city a judge, who feared not God, nor regarded man. 3 And there was a widow in that city; and she kept coming to him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary! 4 And he would not for some time. But afterward he said within himself, Though I neither fear God, nor regard man, 5 yet, because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her; lest by coming for ever she weary me out. 6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7 And will not God avenge his chosen, who cry to him day and night, though he be slow to punish in their behalf? 8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. But yet, when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith on the earth?
