¹⁵ having abolished in his flesh the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create of the two one new man in himself, thus making peace, ¹⁶ Let no one then call you to account about food or drink, or a feastday, or a new moon, or sabbaths;

²⁰ If ye died with Christ to the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances, such as, ²¹ Handle not, Taste not, Touch not, ²² (which all are to perish with the using,) after the commandments and teachings of men;

⁵ For not to angels did he put in subjection the world to come, of which we are speaking.

⁵ and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience; and having had our bodies washed with pure water,

⁹ Be not carried aside with various and strange teachings; for it is good that the heart be established with grace, not with meats, in which those who walked were not profited.
