¹⁶ But works of kindness and liberality forget not; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

³⁵ For I was hungry, and ye gave me food; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink; I was a stranger, and ye took me in; ³⁶ naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me. ³⁷ Then will the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? ³⁸ and when saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? ³⁹ or when did we see thee sick, or in prison, and come to thee? ⁴⁰ And the king will answer and say to them, Truly do I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it to me.

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good and lend, despairing of no one; and your reward will be great, and ye will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the unthankful and wicked. ³⁶ Be merciful, as your Father is merciful.

²² And Jesus hearing this said to him, One thing thou still lackest: sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.

³⁶ Now at Joppa there was a certain disciple named Tabitha, which name being interpreted is the same as Dorcas, that is, Gazelle. This woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

¹⁸ that they be rich in good works, liberal in imparting, willing to communicate,

⁶ that the fellowship of thy faith may become effectual in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us, for Christ Jesus.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust so as to forget your work, and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered and are still ministering to the saints.

¹ Let brotherly love continue. ² Be not forgetful to entertain strangers; for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

¹¹ Beloved, do not imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God; he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
