² For I determined not to know anything while with you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

³ And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send.

²² since even Jews ask for signs, and the Greeks seek for wisdom; ²³ but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumblingblock, and to gentiles foolishness, ²⁴ but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. ²⁵ Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
