¹⁶ He is no longer a servant. He is more than a servant. He is a beloved brother, especially to me, but also to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

²⁸ Brothers, we are children who belong to the promise, the same as Isaac was. ²⁹ Just like then, the son who was conceived in a natural way according to the flesh persecuted the son conceived in a spiritual way. That is exactly what is happening now!

⁵ Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to Christ. ⁶ This should not be in the way of eye service, as men-pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from a complete heart; ⁷ with goodwill doing service, as to God, and not to men.

²² Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh in all things, not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, respecting God.

² Do not despise your believing masters, because they are brothers. Serve them, because they who partake of the benefit are believing and beloved. Teach and exhort these things.

¹ Holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus.

²² You have purified your hearts by obeying the truth. You have genuine affection for the brothers and sisters. So always love one another intensely (extremely) (deeply) from the heart. ²³ You have been given a new birth, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and endures.

¹ Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God. Whoever loves him that causes the birth also loves him that is born.
