¹⁹ God replied: »Yes, but your wife Sarah will bear you a son! You will call him Isaac. I will establish my covenant with him as a long lasting covenant for his descendants after him.

²¹ »But my covenant I will establish with Isaac. Sarah will bear him to you by this time next year.«

³ Jehovah’s angel appeared to her and said: »You have not been able to have children, but you will become pregnant and have a son.

¹⁶ Elisha said to her: »By this time next year you will hold a son in your arms.« »Please do not lie to me. You are a man of God!« She said. ¹⁷ Just as Elisha said, about that time the following year she gave birth to a son.

⁷ O Israel hope in Jehovah! For with Jehovah there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption. ⁸ He will save his people Israel from all their sins.

¹ In that day you will say: »I will praise you, O Jehovah. Although you were angry with me, your anger has turned away and you have comforted me. ² »Truly God is my salvation! I will trust and not be afraid. Jehovah… Jehovah is my strength and my song! He has become my salvation.«

He reconciles all things, whether things upon the earth, or things in heaven. ²¹ You were in the past alienated and enemies because your minds were on your evil works. ²² But he (Christ) reconciled you in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and without accusation before Him (God). ²³ Provided that you continue in the faith, grounded (on the foundation) and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the good news you heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven. For this I, Paul, was made a minister.

¹⁴ He (Jesus Christ) gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify a people for himself, who are special people, zealous for good works.

²⁵ He is able to save completely those who approach God through him, because he is always alive to intercede for them.

⁷ If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.

¹ My little children, I write you these things that you may not sin. If any man sin, we have an Advocate (intercessor) (comforter) (helper) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous! ² He is the propitiation (Greek: hilasmos: atonement, compensation) for our sins. Not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

⁵ You know that he appeared to take away sins. There is no sin in him!

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, and the firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and released us from our sins by his blood. ⁶ He made us to be a kingdom of kings and priests to his God and Father. To him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
