¹³ As soon as Laban heard the news about his sister’s son Jacob, he ran to meet him. He embraced and kissed him and brought him into his home. Then Jacob told Laban all that had happened.

³ Jehovah said to Jacob: »Go back to the land of your ancestors and to your relatives. I will be with you.«

¹³ »‘I am the God of Bethel. That is where you anointed a pillar and made a vow to me. Arise and leave this land. Return to the land of your birth.’«

²⁴ In a dream that night God came to Laban. God said: »Be careful not to threaten Jacob in any way.«

⁵⁵ Early the next morning Laban kissed his grandchildren and his daughters and blessed them. Then Laban left and went back home.

²⁷ Jehovah said to Aaron: »Go to meet Moses in the wilderness.« So he went and met him at the mountain of God and kissed him.
