Deuteronomy 1:1 Cross References - NSB

¹ These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel. He was on this side of the Jordan in the desert wilderness, in the plain near the Red Sea (Suph), between Paran, Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Dizahab.

²¹ He lived in the wilderness of Paran. His mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt.

¹² At last the Israelites started on their journey out of the Sinai Desert. The cloud came to rest in the wilderness of Paran.

³⁵ From Kibroth Hattaavah the people moved to Hazeroth, where they stayed.

¹⁶ Then they left Hazeroth and set up camp in the wilderness of Paran.

³ According to Jehovah’s command, Moses sent these men from the Desert of Paran. All of them were leaders of the Israelites.

⁵ »Please give us this land as our property. Do not make us cross the Jordan River.«

¹⁹ »We will not take possession of any land on the other side of the Jordan River, to the west and beyond. We already have our land here, east of the Jordan.«

³² »We will enter Canaan as armed troops in Jehovah’s presence. The land we will take possession of is here, east of the Jordan.«

²⁶ They returned to Moses, Aaron, and the whole congregation of Israel at Kadesh in the Desert of Paran. They gave their report and showed them the fruit from the land.

² »Jehovah came from Mount Sinai. He rose like the sun over Edom and shone on his people from Mount Paran. Ten thousand angels were with him. A flaming fire was at his right hand.

¹ All the kings west of Jordan heard these things; the kings in the hills, and in the valleys, in all the coasts of the Great (Mediterraean) Sea over against Lebanon, the Hittite, and the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite heard these things.

¹⁰ »and all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Jordan, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.

⁴ »Jehovah your God has given the other Israelites peace as he promised. So go back home to the land you claimed for your own, the land on the east side of the Jordan, that Moses, Jehovah’s servant, gave you.

⁷ To the one half tribe of Manasseh Moses had given possession in Bashan: but he gave the other half to Joshua among their brothers on this side Jordan westward. Joshua sent them a way to their tents and he blessed them.

¹ Samuel died. All Israel gathered to mourn him. They buried him at his home in Ramah. Then David went to the desert of Paran.

³ God came from Teman. He is the Holy One from Mount Paran. His glory covered the heavens! The earth is full of his praise.
