⁵ These men said: »We shall not find any charge against Daniel, unless we find it against him in the Law of his God.«

⁸ Haman said to King Ahasuerus, »There is a nation living here and there in small groups among the people in all the divisions of your kingdom. Their laws are different from those of any other nation. They do not keep the king's laws. For this reason it is not right for the king to let them be.

⁶ When the chief priests and officers saw him, they cried out: »Impale him! Impale him!« Pilate replied: »Take him yourselves, and impale him for he has committed no crime!« ⁷ The Jews answered him: »We have a law, and by that law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.«
