¹ It is reported that there is sexual immorality among you. This type of fornication is not even found among the people of the nations (who do not know God). There is a man who has his father’s wife.

²² While Israel lived in that region, Reuben went to bed with his father’s concubine Bilhah. Israel heard about it. Jacob had twelve sons.

² This is the story of Jacob and his descendants. Joseph was a seventeen-year-old young man. He took care of the flocks with the sons of Bilhah and Zilpah, his father’s wives. Joseph told his father about the bad things his brothers were doing.

⁴ »You are like a raging flood. But you will not be the most important, for you slept with my concubine. You dishonored your father’s bed.

⁸ »‘Do not disgrace him by having sex with any of his other wives.

¹¹ »‘A man who has intercourse with one of his father's wives disgraces his father. Both he and the woman must be put to death. They are responsible for their own death.

²² They pitched a tent for Absalom on the palace roof. There in the sight of everyone Absalom went in and had intercourse with his father’s concubines.

⁵¹ ‘»Samaria did not commit half the sins you did. You have done many more disgusting things than they ever did. Because of all the disgusting things that you have done, you make your sisters look innocent. ⁵² ‘»You will have to suffer disgrace because you accused your sisters. Yet, your sins are more disgusting than theirs. They look like they are innocent compared to you. Be ashamed of yourself and suffer disgrace, because you have made your sisters look like they are innocent.’

¹⁰ »Some of them sleep with their father's wife. Some force women to have intercourse with them during their period.

⁷ »They pant after the dust of the earth on the head of lowly (meek) persons. They reject the humble! A man and his father have sexual relations with the same maiden, to profane my holy name.

²⁰ »We should write to them that they should abstain from things polluted by idols, from fornication, from things strangled and from blood.

²⁹ »You should abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication. If you keep yourselves from these you will do well. Farwell (best wishes).«

¹¹ The house of Chloe told me, my brothers, that there are disputes among you.

¹¹ I wrote you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother who is a fornicator, or who is greedy, or who worships idols, or constantly gets drunk, or cheats people. Do not even eat with such a person.

⁹ Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither fornicators, nor people who worship idols, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals,

¹³ Foods are for the belly, and the belly for foods, but God will destroy both of them. Now the body is not for fornication but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.

¹⁸ Flee from fornication! Every sin that a man does is outside his body. But he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

¹² Although I wrote to you, I did not write for the sake of the one who did wrong, nor for the one who suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be made manifest to you in the sight of God.

¹⁹ Now the works of the flesh (sinful human nature) are apparent. They are: fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct,

³ Fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, must not even be mentioned among you, as is proper among holy ones.

²¹ I am afraid that the next time I come my God will humiliate me in your presence, and I shall weep over many who sinned in the past and have not repented of the uncleanness, fornication and loose conduct that they have practiced.

⁵ Make your members that are upon the earth dead with regard to fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness (greed), which is idolatry.

⁷ For God has not called us to uncleanness, but to holiness.

²¹ »'I gave her time to repent, and she does not want to repent of her immorality.

⁸ »But the fearful and unbelieving, abominable and murderers, fornicators and those practicing spiritism, idolaters and all liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur: which is the second death.«
