²⁴ Therefore God also abandoned them in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the degrading of their bodies among themselves,

²² "'You shall not have sexual relations with a male, as with a woman. That is detestable.

¹¹ But my people did not listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me. ¹² So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.

¹⁷ Ephraim, joined to idols, has placed stumbling blocks against himself. ¹⁸ Their drink has become sour. They play the prostitute continually. Her rulers dearly love their shameful way.

¹⁴ Leave them alone. They are blind guides of the blind. If the blind guide the blind, both will fall into a pit."

⁴² But God turned, and gave them over to worship the host of heaven, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

¹⁶ who in the generations gone by allowed all the nations to walk in their own ways.

²⁹ Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold, or silver, or stone, engraved by human art and design. ³⁰ The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked. But now he commands that all people everywhere should repent,

²⁶ For this reason, God abandoned them to their degrading passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for that which is contrary to nature. ²⁷ Likewise also the men, giving up natural relations with women, burned in their lust toward one another, men with men, committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error. ²⁸ Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God abandoned them to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not right;

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. ¹³ "Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods," but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

¹⁸ Flee sexual immorality. "Every sin that a person does is outside the body," but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.

¹⁸ being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts; ¹⁹ who having become callous gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

⁴ that each one of you know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

¹⁰ and with all deception of wickedness for those who are perishing, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. ¹¹ And because of this, God sends them a strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, ¹² in order that all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

²⁰ Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor. ²¹ If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work. ²² Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
