¹¹ Teach me your way, LORD. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

⁸ Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before me.

⁴ Show me your ways, LORD. Teach me your paths. ⁵ Guide me in your truth, and teach me, For you are the God of my salvation, I wait for you all day long.

⁹ He will guide the humble in justice. He will teach the humble his way.

¹² What man is he who fears the LORD? He shall instruct him in the way that he shall choose.

¹² My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations I will bless the LORD.

⁵ He will repay the evil to my enemies. Destroy them in your truth.

⁵ All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil. ⁶ They conspire and lurk, watching my steps, they are eager to take my life.

⁶ They plot injustice; they hide a well-conceived plan. Surely man's mind and heart are cunning.

¹¹ Teach me your way, LORD. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.

¹⁰ With my whole heart, I have sought you. Do not let me wander from your commandments.

⁸ Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning, for I trust in you. Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, for I lift up my soul to you. ⁹ Deliver me, LORD, from my enemies. I run to you for refuge. ¹⁰ Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. Your Spirit is good. Lead me in the land of uprightness.

⁶ For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He lays up sound wisdom for the upright. He is a shield to those who walk in integrity; ⁸ that he may guard the paths of justice, and preserve the way of his faithful ones. ⁹ Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.

⁹ They are all plain to him who understands, right to those who find knowledge.

¹⁹ The way of the sluggard is like a thorn patch, but the path of the upright is a highway.

²⁰ Though the Lord may give you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers won't be hidden anymore, but your eyes will see your teachers; ²¹ and when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way. Walk in it."

⁸ And a highway will be there, and it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools will not go there.

¹⁰ For I have heard the defaming of many, terror on every side. "Denounce, and we will denounce him," say all my familiar friends, those who watch for my fall; "perhaps he will be persuaded, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him."

⁴ Then the administrators and the satraps sought to find a charge against Daniel regarding the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful. Neither was there any error or fault found in him. ⁵ Then these men said, "We will not find any charge against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God."

⁴ As it is written in the scroll of the words of Isaiah the prophet, "The voice of one crying in the wilderness, 'Prepare the way of the Lord. Make his roads straight. ⁵ Every valley will be filled, and every mountain and hill will be made low, and the crooked will be made straight, and the rough ways smooth. ⁶ And all humanity will see the salvation of God.'"

²⁰ They watched him, and sent out spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might trap him in something he said, so as to deliver him up to the power and authority of the governor.
