²² For the LORD will not forsake his people for his great name's sake, because it has pleased the LORD to make you a people to himself.

²⁴ For my sighing comes before I eat. My groanings are poured out like water.

¹ Why do you stand far off, LORD? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?

²⁸ For the LORD loves justice, and doesn't forsake his faithful ones. They are preserved forever, but the children of the wicked shall be cut off.

⁸ I am faint and severely bruised. I have groaned by reason of the anguish of my heart.
