¹⁶ then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.

¹⁵ When the morning came, then the angels hurried Lot along, saying, “Get up. Take your wife, and your two daughters who are here, and get out, lest you be swept away in the punishment of the city." ¹⁶ But he hesitated, so the men grabbed his hand, his wife's hand, and his two daughters' hands, God being merciful to him; and they took him out, and set him outside of the city. ¹⁷ It came to pass, when they had taken them out, that he said, "Escape for your life. Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the plain. Escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away."

²⁰ Those who feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses. ²¹ Whoever did not regard the word of the LORD left his servants and his livestock in the field.

³ A prudent man sees danger, and hides himself; but the simple pass on, and suffer for it.
