²⁰ and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

¹ Now when morning had come, all the chief priests and the elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death: ² and they bound him, and led him away, and delivered him to Pilate, the governor.

²⁰ Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

¹ Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and scribes, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.

⁶⁶ As soon as it was day, the council of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,

⁸ Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers of the people, and elders, ⁹ if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, ¹⁰ be it known to you all, and to all the children of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole.

²⁷ "For truly, in this city against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the non-Jews and the people of Israel, were gathered together ²⁸ to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God exalted him with his right hand to be a Leader and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him. ²⁸ Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed. ²⁹ When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree, and placed him in a tomb.
