³⁹ "See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god besides me. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal; and there is no one who can deliver out of my hand.

⁹ He works to the north, but I can't see him. He turns south, but I can't catch a glimpse of him.

¹³ But he stands alone, and who can oppose him? What his soul desires, even that he does.

⁶ For there is a time and procedure for every purpose, although the misery of man is heavy on him. ⁷ For he doesn't know that which will be; for who can tell him how it will be?

⁷ I form the light, and create darkness. I make peace, and create calamity. I am the LORD, who does all these things.

¹⁵ Most certainly you are a God who hid yourself, God of Israel, the Savior.'"

⁹ Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me; ¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done; saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure; ¹¹ calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country; yes, I have spoken, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed, I will also do it.

³⁷ Who can speak a thing and have it come to pass, unless the LORD has commanded it?

³³ Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God. How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out.
