² For indeed we have had good news preached to us, even as they also did, but the word they heard did not profit them, because they were not united by faith with those who heard.

²⁶ God, having raised up his Servant, sent him to you first, to bless you, in turning away everyone of you from your wickedness."

⁴⁶ Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, look, we turn to the non-Jewish people.

²⁵ For circumcision indeed profits, if you are a doer of the law, but if you are a transgressor of the law, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

¹⁶ But they did not all listen to the Good News. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" ¹⁷ So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

³ If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body so that I may boast, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

⁸ The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the non-Jews by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, "Through you all the nations will be blessed."

¹³ but you know that in physical weakness I preached the Good News to you the first time;

⁵ and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of persons we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

¹³ For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as a human word, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.

¹² in order that all might be judged who did not believe the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. ¹³ But we are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief in the truth;

⁸ For bodily exercise has some value, but godliness has value in all things, having the promise of the life which is now, and of that which is to come.

¹² Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God;

¹⁸ To whom did he swear that they would not enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? ¹⁹ We see that they were not able to enter in because of unbelief.

⁶ Since therefore it remains for some to enter it, and they to whom the good news was before preached failed to enter in because of disobedience,

⁶ Now without faith it is impossible to be well pleasing to him, for he who comes to God must believe that he exists, and that he is a rewarder of those who seek him.

²¹ Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

¹² To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into.
