¹³ in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation,—in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,

⁴³ Do not snatch the word of truth out of my mouth, for I put my hope in your ordinances.

¹⁵ And he said to them, "Go into all the world, and proclaim the Good News to the whole creation. ¹⁶ He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who disbelieves will be condemned.

¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?"

⁴⁹ And look, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."

¹⁷ For the Law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

²⁷ Do not work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him."

¹⁶ I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Helper, that he may be with you forever,— ¹⁷ the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive; because it neither sees him nor knows him; but you know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.

²⁶ But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.

²⁶ "When the Helper has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

⁷ Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper won't come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. ⁸ When he has come, he will convict the world about sin, and about righteousness, and about judgment; ⁹ about sin, because they do not believe in me; ¹⁰ about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, and you won't see me any more; ¹¹ about judgment, because the prince of this world has been judged. ¹² "I have yet many things to tell you, but you cannot bear them now. ¹³ However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak on his own; but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you things that are coming. ¹⁴ He will glorify me, for he will take from what is mine, and will declare it to you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father has are mine; that is why I said that he takes of mine, and will declare it to you.

⁴ Being assembled together with them, he commanded them, "Do not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which you heard from me.

¹⁶ But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel: ¹⁷ 'And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy, and your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. ¹⁸ And even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy. ¹⁹ And I will show wonders in the sky above, and signs on the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and billows of smoke. ²⁰ The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes. ²¹ And it will be that whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.' ²² "Men of Israel, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as you yourselves know,

³³ Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this, which you see and hear.

²⁶ Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to us.

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the Good News, for it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes; for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

¹¹ He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, so that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be credited to them.

¹⁷ But thanks be to God, that, whereas you were slaves of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching to which you were entrusted.

¹⁴ How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without someone preaching? ¹⁵ And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of peace, who bring good news of good things." ¹⁶ But they did not all listen to the Good News. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" ¹⁷ So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

²² who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

⁷ in the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left,

¹⁴ that the blessing of Abraham might come on the non-Jews through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

¹¹ Therefore remember that once you, the non-Jews in the flesh, who are called "uncircumcision" by that which is called "circumcision," (in the flesh, made by hands); ¹² that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.

²¹ if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:

³⁰ Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

⁴ having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which you have toward all the saints, ⁵ because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard before in the word of truth, the Good News, ⁶ which has come to you; even as it is in all the world and is bearing fruit and growing, as it does in you also, since the day you heard and knew the grace of God in truth;

²¹ You, who once were alienated and were hostile in your minds, doing evil deeds, ²² yet now he has reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and blameless before him, ²³ if it is so that you continue in the faith, established and firm, and not moved away from the hope of the Good News which you heard, which is being proclaimed in all creation under heaven; of which I, Paul, have become a servant.

¹³ For this cause we also thank God without ceasing, that, when you received from us the word of the message of God, you accepted it not as a human word, but, as it is in truth, the word of God, which also works in you who believe.

¹⁵ Do your best to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.

¹⁹ However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."

¹⁵ From infancy, you have known the holy Scriptures which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith, which is in Christ Jesus.

¹¹ For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all people,

³ how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation—which at the first having been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard;

¹⁸ Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

¹⁰ who once were not a people, but now are God's people, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

² I saw another angel ascend from the sunrise, having the seal of the living God. He called out with a loud voice to the four angels to whom it was given to harm the earth and the sea,
