⁷ But the end of all things is near. Therefore be serious and disciplined in your prayers.

² It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men, and the living should take this to heart.

³¹ The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?

² "You, son of man, say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel, An end has come. The end has come on the four quarters of the land. ³ Now is the end on you, and I will send my anger on you, and will judge you according to your ways; and I will bring on you all your abominations.

⁶ An end has come, the end has come; it awakes against you; look, it comes.

¹³ But he who endures to the end, the same will be saved. ¹⁴ This Good News of the Kingdom will be preached in the whole world for a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

⁴² Watch therefore, for you do not know on what day your Lord comes.

¹³ Watch therefore, for you do not know the day nor the hour.

³⁸ Then he said to them, "My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me." ³⁹ He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire." ⁴⁰ He came to the disciples, and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "What, could you not watch with me for one hour? ⁴¹ Watch and pray, that you do not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

³³ Watch, keep alert, and pray; for you do not know when the time is. ³⁴ "It is like a man, traveling to another country, having left his house, and given authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and also commanded the doorkeeper to keep watch. ³⁵ Watch therefore, for you do not know when the lord of the house is coming —at evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning; ³⁶ lest coming suddenly he might find you sleeping. ³⁷ What I tell you, I tell all: Watch."

³⁷ He came and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, "Simon, are you sleeping? Could you not watch one hour? ³⁸ Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

³⁴ "So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly.

³⁶ Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be able to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man."

⁴⁶ and said to them, "Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation."

¹² rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer;

¹¹ Do this, knowing the time, that it is already time for you to awaken out of sleep, for salvation is now nearer to us than when we first believed. ¹² The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let us therefore throw off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.

²⁹ But I say this, brothers: the time is short, that from now on, those who have wives should be as though they had none;.

²⁴ Then the end comes, when he will deliver up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when he will have abolished all rule and all authority and power.

¹⁸ with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints:

⁵ Let your gentleness be evident to all people. The Lord is near.

² Continue steadfastly in prayer, watching in it with thanksgiving;

⁶ so then let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. ⁸ But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

⁵ But you be sober in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.

¹² instructing us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;

²⁵ not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.

⁸ You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near. ⁹ Do not grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won't be judged. Look, the judge stands at the door.

¹³ Therefore, prepare your minds for action, be sober and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

⁷ You husbands, in like manner, live with your wives according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint heirs of the grace of life; that your prayers may not be hindered.

⁸ Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

⁹ The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. ¹⁰ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works on it will not be found. ¹¹ Therefore since all these things will be destroyed like this, what kind of people ought you to be in holy living and godliness,

¹⁸ Little children, these are the end times, and as you heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen. By this we know that it is the final hour. ¹⁹ They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have continued with us. But they left, that they might be revealed that none of them belong to us.

¹⁵ "Look, I am coming like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he does not walk naked, and they see his shame."
