¹³ Be courageous, and let us be strong for our people, and for the cities of our God. May the LORD do that which seems good to him."

⁶ Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, nor be scared of them: for the LORD your God is he who is going with you; he will not leave you nor forsake you." ⁷ Moses called to Joshua, and said to him in the sight of all Israel, "Be strong and courageous: for you shall go with this people into the land which the LORD has sworn to their fathers to give them; and you shall cause them to inherit it.

This shall be the sign to us." ¹¹ Both of them revealed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, "Look, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they had hidden themselves." ¹² The men of the garrison answered Jonathan and his armor bearer, and said, "Come up to us, and we will show you something." Jonathan said to his armor bearer, "Come up after me; for the LORD has delivered them into the hand of Israel."

³² David said to Saul, "Let not my lord's heart fail because of him. Your servant will go and fight with this Philistine."

¹⁴ I looked, and rose up, and said to the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses."

²² In all this, Job did not sin, nor charge God with wrongdoing.
